Importing Favorites
-
The browser is fast and amazed how the graphics load. I tried importing my favorites from IE, didn't work. The only browsers listed to import favorites from is Opera and IE. Prior to downloading Vivaldi, I used Chrome as my favorite browser, IE was for my wife. Any way to import Chrome favorites to this browser? Looking for some setting key/button to adjust home page, settings, etc. Overall, very impressive, I see IE and Chrome, especially Chrome have some serious competition.

I don't recommend using Vivaldi as a daily browser, it is still in early stages of development. I assume importing from major browsers will be ready to use when they reach the first stable release.

you are correct, but if you want to test it, you need bookmarks and other stuff, Opera is listed as a browser to import data, but it doesn't work, after all this is a tech-preview, not even an alpha I'd say.

There is an "Opera" option that in Windows imports Bookmarks and Notes, there is a separate "Opera Bookmarks file" option that should work on all platforms.

While the Opera Bookmark file option appears to work for the old Opera 12 format, it does not as yet appear to work with the Opera 25+ format.

Maybe this Opium extension will help you until the Vivaldi import works completely: Bookmarks Import & Export
