Window Background Images

I assume you are using
css
to implement these because they don't appear to be recognised by the built-in theming.For the patterns on stable (1.14) I used the classic two svg (light/dark fill) with background image.
But yeah, I didn't tested them with the new feature; they probably will converted to png (with alpha channel) :3I hope this feature will include the whole top part (menubar/addressbar/boomark bar) in future while keeping the tab bar like it does with side tabs on.
But probably needs a native "tabs under urlbar/bookmark bar" for better results.No other mods on snapshot (well, just few css lines...)
As I came back to snap I'm doing "a mod selection" to have a light version for next stable -
Honeycomb (use with repeat, it's a small texture)

This appears pretty nice, but "hides" a bit the minimize button

Hi, I am sorry for the offtopic, but Iβd like to have the initial window background image I had before I've changed it. Could anyone of you upload it for me? AFAIK itβs named sayagata.png
-
@zmeypc You can find it in your vivaldi install directory. On windows, for me it's %PROGRAMFILES%\Vivaldi\Application\1.15.1125.3\resources\vivaldi\resources\sayagata.png. It might be %LOCALAPPDATA% on other machines. I'm not sure about other OSes.
-
@lonm I am on mac.
-
@zmeypc No idea where then. I'll just upload it:
-
@zmeypc You'll find it at
content/versions/1.15.1125.3/vivaldi frameworks/versions/A/resources/vivaldi/resources/sayagata.png
(at least on Sierra). -
@lonm thank you!
-
@hlehyaric good to know. thank you
-
@zmeypc Glad to help you.

Greenery:
This one isn't the best (and just doesn't work with tinting), but if you like a textured green, you might enjoy it.

Here's a simple gradient I made for my black theme:
I think they go together pretty well.
-
I usually have the tabs on the right and I use an animated gif background and a previously cut strip of this for the theme (it can be cut with Lunapic), which results in this effect
(The capture is a reduced gif and because of this it seems the movement in jumps, fluid in reality)
Gif Background (original size)
And as it remains as a background in realityGif Tab bar (cut from background, original size)
It can be adjusted to the background image, slightly varying the width of the Tab bar.Other examples

@catweazle That looks cool, do you think there would be a way to do that on the sidebar?
-

So far it is only possible directly as Background and Tab bar, not for the scheme, this can only be done with CSS (see Modding Vivaldi) and I'm not sure if it supports gif animations there.
