Minor update to Vivaldi 1.14

soon for fix prime video ? x)
Do you use https://www.primevideo.com/ ? If yes, there is still a problem which is a work in progress. If possible try to watch via the normal amazon page, which should work fine in most countries.

MLB.tv crashes shortly after you play a ballgame. It is a subscription service, so I don't think you will be able to correct this problem. MLB.tv only works with Chrome and Firefox, and none of its clones.
Maybe you can make it work if you mask Vivaldi.
- open vivaldi://about
- copy the User Agent
- remove the Vivaldi part at the end
- start Vivaldi with the following command-line parameter added (make sure that there is one space between the vivaldi executable name and the -- ):
--user-agent="put the changed user agent here inside of the quotes"
That should identify Vivaldi as pure Chrome.
If it works then it is a case of browser sniffing.
If not: Please file a bug report, there might be some developers or testers who watch baseball too...( ... not sure if they have much time to spare to do so, though )

@quhno: I have played several games this week...at first, it runs fine, but after a few minutes, I get the dead bird. By the way, I'm permanently disabled, and one of its perks is that I have all day, every day to watch baseball, Just did what you said and so far, so good....I'll give you an update in an hour.
-
@quhno: Dead bird.
When I watch a game, I have another browser window open to surf. I have no problem doing it with Firefox, but I get dead birds with Vivaldi. I love Firefox, but acknowledge that Vivaldi is the best Chromium-based browser. I have tried to run mlb.tv on other Chromium browsers, and the video player doesn't even start, so I know that it is not wholly a Vivaldi problem.
-
@quhno: I tried on Google Chrome and got an "Aw Snap" page after about 15 minutes. It could be a conflict with my ad blocker, but I use the same blocker in Firefox and have no problems after running several games. I'll try to watch Vivaldi with the blocker off, and see what happens.
-
@quhno: Tried off Nano Blocker in the window playing the game and had Nano Blocker and Nano Defender in the other. Result: All was well and both windows blocking ads.
-
I Installed the ForecastFox (fixed version) extension, and whenever I start the browser, I get the start page even though it is supposed to go to my last session. I've had this problem for quite a while.
-
@quhno: Sorry that I'm being so verbose, but I feel like to tell you that I was using two copies of Vivaldi instead of tile stacking, which works fine with mlb.tv.
I wish we had separate controls for each window. Let's say I'm using stacking and the game is in window A and I'm surfing in Window B. It is so easy to think you last clicked on B, when it was A and you can go accidentally to go to a page on A and you lose your place in the game and you have go back to the game's beginning...so aggravating! And this can happen to any set of webpages you load in tab stacking,
Vivaldi team, are you listening?
-
Hmm, still no addressbar dropdown menu working here. Nothing changed. (VB-36848)
-
@quhno: yes, i use primevideo.com because i'm living in France. amazon page is not available for my country
-
@dlbryant: The newest snapshot solves the ForecastFox problem.

-
Thanks for the update.
Is the "Simulate browser restart" regression going to be addressed? It was broken with the release of v1.13
-
When will you be able to fix the blurry tab bar favicon on Mac retina screens?
-
Hello, the next stable version update will be available to choose my theme?
-
@steinfeld12 You can choose your themes now. I do not understand the question.
-
@zandathrax Are you on Linux?
