Window Background Image – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.15.1104.3
-

@steffie:
Appreciate your humor! Would be great if it happens on the next Tuesday as the bug takes place for more than three months. -
[Regression] Pinned tab from normal window opens in incognito window VB-35197
I´ve never seen this problem before, but now (after it´s "fixed") it happens all the time. Anyone else?

I can't put an extension link!

@pesala: I agree with enc0re on the fact that in software world, the goal of a RC is to be a "Release candidate", so it is never a state after which we start to "fix bugs".
In other terms, a RC is state when we think a software is ready, and will be officially released with no change if no major issue is discovered after the RC is released. Fixing known or planned issues is always done before a RC. Multiple RC are released only if unexpected (and major!) issues are discovered after previous RC.But anyway, it does not mean that you're wrong when you say that Vivaldi's team will never introduce development cycles with only bug fixes: it does not seem to be the way they work, indeed.
-
@voldemar227: have you reported an issue on the bug tracker?
-
@voldemar227 Please don't rant just because a bug has not been fixed yet.
The Vivaldi developers do listen to users. They will get around to fixing bugs as soon as they can.
The team is small, and there are thousands of bug reports, and hundreds of feature requests.
I reported this bug, which is the same issue, on 1st February. I am sure that other have too.

@stardust: IMHO the most useless of all customizations Menus, toolbars etc. would be great and actually useful to improve workflow, but a background image?! Well, probably easy to implement and therefore cheap in terms of 'time per changelog line'...
-
@nsane: the picture is nice, but I don't need a browser to view it.
Actually speed dial is meant for quickly accessing bookmarked pages, which would work much better if e.g. the thumbnails were resizeable.The page you show serves no purpose at all as not even the picture is properly displayed (as disturbed by the + sign) -
@netwolf said in Window Background Image – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.15.1104.3:
time per changelog line
I don't think anyone measures by that. At the very least, I don't.
-
@lonm me not either (I'm an enigneer), but marketing people usually do (from my personal experience)
-
Me too.

You mean, these "marketing people", who manage these "engineers".
-
@pesala: Yeah, I filed it too at VB-37146, which was reported as corrected a few snapshots ago but wrongly.
-
@netwolf may be "cheap" but a nice one
I love it, bacause it is not possible to change the Vivaldi-menu-icon. -
@burbuja It makes sense to fix a large number of minor issues because it creates a good impression of the speed of progress.
It is not easy for us to know what is easy to fix, but these issues — all with 10 or more votes — look very easy to fix, as they are mostly cosmetic.

By the way: "Spinner Favicon when a Page is Loading" why? There is a progressbar -
Strange interaction between a web site and a mouse gesture behavior - To everyone who reads this post:
go to http://www.nooz.gr/ and open some links (from this site) in new tabs (what those links are about is of no importance). Now try to scroll though these tabs by using the WHEEL SCROLL movement (not the mouse pointer gesture). Does it work for you? Not for me, and that is the only web site I know that behaves like that! -
@nutcracker It works for me.
