Bookmark Description in a Second Language
-
I have assigned, say, "g" to my google.com bookmark so when I type g in the address field, google.com is automatically inserted, that is very cool and speeds up opening sites.
But English is not my native language so I have 50% of time another keyboard layout with different characters turned on so instead of "g" it types "п" and the browser obviously doesn't know I want to go to google.com.
So my suggestion is to somehow allow to assign two descriptions to a site. Maybe through syntax, like I type "g/п" in the description field. It is absolutely useless for those who type only in English but would be a cool thing for those who are using another keyboard layout.
One might say, well just switch the keyboard layout which is 2 buttons away. But then the whole idea of speeding things up goes away - I have to check the layout first, then, if it is not English, push the keyboard language switching buttons, then type my description. -
@svguss Could you not just add a bookmark a second time and give it п as the nickname?
Apparently pi is rendered as n when in italics on this forum...

Hmm... maybe you're right, maybe I can just make a special folder for those sites to avoid clutter and give them a description in Cyrillic font. Not really the most elegant solution, but will work I guess. Thanks, all ingenius is simple, as we say
