Poor Performance for Web Panels
-
First of all, I love Vivaldi, good work!
One issue I've been seeing for the last couple months is that the web panels have been having extremely poor performance for me, to the point where I can't use them anymore. When I first add a web panel, it works pretty well, but within a couple minutes it performs so slowly I can hardly do anything with it anymore. Are there any known extension compatibility issues that could contribute to this poor performance?
My extensions:
- Xmarks
- uBlock Origin
- HTTPS Everywhere
- PushBullet
- Web Developer
- Web of Trust
- Honey
- Google Voice
- Cisco WebEx
- Key Socket Media Keys
- Redux DevTools
Loading the browser in incognito mode doesn't seem to improve performance of the web panels either. I see this problem on Windows, MacOS, and various Linux distros. I couldn't find anything about similar issues in the forums, so I wonder if there is something about my particular set of extensions that could be causing the problem.

Gosh! I've not noticed this problem for my 20 WPs [or maybe i have subconsciously normalised it?]. Can you give a few examples i can test? Can you supply a gif to illustrate?
PS: I use a gaggle of extensions, but the only ones in common with you are uBlock Origin & HTTPS Everywhere. However i doubt this is a factor, coz afaik extensions do not yet work in WPs.

The worst ones for me right now that I'd like to be using are m.facebook.com and keep.google.com. I've noticed that it isn't quite so bad on simpler sites, like Wikipedia, but even on those sometimes it feels like links take a second or two to register that I've clicked them, general page navigation lags behind, and even scrolling takes a split second to start, then the page jerks down to where it should be. While the slower panels are open, even the main browser window slows down a bit.
System specs:
- Windows 10 Professional/KDE Neon
- 32GB DDR4 RAM
- Intel i7-7700K
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
- OS is installed on an SSD
Everything else on this machine runs buttery smooth, just not Vivaldi web panels for whatever reason.
I can try to put together a small .gif or video, but it really wouldn't be able to capture the lack between clicking or scrolling and the page responding.

Ah, ok, well it's over to someone else now to help. I eschew both of those on principle, so can't [won't] test them. Good luck.
