No ⌘ on Windows 10
-
Hi,
i like to use the Tab Tiling, but there is no ⌘ sign on a Windows PC, it´s a Mac Sign.
Any help?

@khk You can check the keyboard shortcuts for your current system by using the Keyboard cheat sheet (I think by default on windows its Shift+F1), or by checking settings.
I have tab tiling attached to Ctrl+F8/F9, or you can use the tiling button in the status bar.

You can set your own preferred shortcuts in Settings, Keyboard, Tabs.

Thank you for your help.
My problem is, i sit in a wheelchair, and i have only one working finger for the mouse. Why not just an entry in one of the pull-down menues. This whould be a great help for us quadriplegics.

Please explain what the Options key does on the Mac that you cannot do on Windows. Do you use sticky keys in Windows?
-
@pesala dont know what this is. I use a mouse with only left key and the on screen keyboard.

@khk Sticky keys (see Control Panel, Accessibility) makes it easier for disabled users to execute shortcuts requiring two fingers, e.g. Ctrl+W to close a tab could be done by pressing the Ctrl key, then the W key.
I am still puzzled by your thread title. What does the Option Key ⌘ do that you need in Windows?

Thank you very much

This is from:
https://help.vivaldi.com/guide/key-features/split-screen/
"To select the tabs, hold down Shift / Ctrl / ⌘ and click the tabs you’d like to include. Right click on any of the highlighted tabs and select ‘Tile Tabs‘."
I found no hint, how to do it with windows

@khk The equivalent in Windows is simply Ctrl
In Settings, Tabs, Tab Features, Tab Selection: enable "Include Active Tab in Selection" to make it even easier.
- Ctrl+Click on any Background Tab or Tabs to select them
- Use the shortcut to tile them (Default is Ctrl+F9 to tile vertically, Ctrl F8 to tile horizontally). I suggest changing the to make it easier for use, e.g. use F6 to tile vertically or horizontally, whichever you use most often)
- Sticky keys would make it easier to do with one finger. Press ctrl then click on each background tab to select it for tiling.
