Snapshot and Chromium-codecs 63
-
hello,
little problem, under linux mint 18 and the repository repo.vivaldi.com,I have Vivaldi that is able to read h264 (because chromium-ffmpeg-codec-extra is installed in version 63), however vivaldi-snapshot that uses chromium 64 can't play the video in h264 (I think it's because the chromium codec is in version 63 and not 64).
Anyone have any idea what I should do to read the h264?
Thanks in advance.

i've also tested info here : https://gist.github.com/ruario/bec42d156d30affef655
but, chromium ffmpeg is alrady installed

That's an issue with Chrome 64.
Check this workaround: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/23748/vertical-reader-mode-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-1-14-1072-3/34 -

Check this workaround
...but be aware it does not work for everyone, only some people.

It did not work for you?

@lamarca
it works for me, I just didn't read this topic because the title was: vertical-reader-mode-vivaldi-browser-browser-snapshot-1-14-1072-3And so for me there was no connection with the bug, but after reading the topic and setting up the recommended commands, it works thanks.

@aelisya Glad it's working. Thanks for the feedback. I will tag the post as resolved.

This should explain the issue and tell you how to fix it https://vivaldi.com/blog/snapshots/understanding-video-issues-with-vivaldi-for-linux-snapshots/
