If you right click within the bookmarks listing, you should see an option for a new folder.
-
Or simply click folder icon (next to + icon) after you select in which folder you want to put the new folder.

On W7 Professional 64bit (32bit Vivaldi) I don't get the option.

Right-click-menu doesn't show or there is no option to create folder in this menu?
-
OK… to clarify: within the bookmarks side-panel, a right-click offers a 'New Folder' option. I don't get that option for bookmarks on the bar or in the pop-up that appears if bookmarking the current page. Win7-64 SP1 Pro.

You seem to misunderstand my request.
My request is not within the bookmarks side-panel.
Please see the attached screenshots of this top topic.
The feature which I am demanding is the function to create a new folder at the same time when adding a bookmark by clicking the ribbon. -

Please see the attached screenshots of this top topic. …Yes, I did misunderstand. I didn't create my bookmarks folders that way with old Opera, and the browsers I've used since then didn't offer it, but I can certainly see where it might be useful for some users' preferences for bookmarking sites. I guess it's now up to the Vivaldi devs…
