Notify about new topic in a section
As there are local forums, it could be great to have a possibility to watch a section (forum) just like a topic to be able to answer on users questions in their native language as soon as possible.
This (official) nodeBB plugin could do the trick: https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-plugin-category-notifications

I'm not satisfied with the code display markdown currently provides. It's error prone and unreadable. Error-prone because users who copy code, often forget to paste lines, because they have to scroll and highlight at the same time. And unreadable because you have to scroll and there are no automatic line breaks. I do like the syntax highlighting, and I think it should be kept.
So what I'm proposing is this:
Show the code just as a good text editor would: Syntax highlighting, line breaks etc. and at the same time introduce a spoiler button to hide large code chunks. This way anyone can read and highlight the code without scrolling an inline element, but at the same time the code doesn't get in the way because most of it is being hidden by a spoiler functionality. -

Animate the Bell Icon on reloading a page if there are notifications.
The BBC website does this. You will need to log in to receive notifications and see the animated icon, which is otherwise just grey and static.

Send browser notification on a new notification like Gmail does when receiving a new message.
