Uninstall App Launcher?
-
Hi, I was just trying out Vivaldi to see if it might be fixing things I don't like about Opera (any more), FF and Chrome. I accidentally installed Vivaldi App Launcher, thinking it was the developer tools and now I can't uninstall it. Any ideas?

I typed in vivaldi:extensions, and the extensions page said I didn't have any extensions, and did I want to try Vivaldi app launcher and developer tools (or something similar, I can't remember the exact wording). As I was trying to figure out where the developer tools were I installed it. But even though I've now removed it through the extensions page, it's still installed and appears on my task bar in Windows and in the Vivaldi folder in the Programs menu.

It wasn't in Programs and Features. I ended up completely uninstalling Vivaldi and reinstalling, which seemed to get rid of it.
If you're interested you can see the app link by typing vivaldi:extensions in a new tab, then ticking the Developer Mode checkbox. Clicking the link actually seems to go to Chrome Apps and Extensions Developer Tools.
Anyhoo, there is now a Tools > Developer Tools menu, which is what I was looking for originally, so I won't be installing it again.

I just had this appear here too, not sure why.
You didn't have to reinstall Vivaldi. You can't uninstall it, it is part of the program. You can remove it from your taskbar just by unpinning it. (right-click, unpin this) -
App launcher appears as soon as you install any app from Chrome Web Store. It's part of Chromium and thus of Vivaldi.
