[Bug] 1.14.1030.3 tab spacing in maximized windows
-
tabs settings →remove tab spacing in maximized windows,
Restart the browser, can not be displayed properly.
Need to minimize the window or reduce the window and then maximize the window can be displayed correctly.[modedit] added version in title
-
@ziselive
For me this works without minimizing the window first and I also don't need to restart the browser. I just open the settings and when I click on "remove tab spacing..." the tabs jump up or down - as I press it twice.
I tested this with viv 1.14.1030.3 (32 bit) on win 7 (64bit)
What version of vivaldi do you use? (You can look this up in the first line ofvivaldi://about
) -
@ziselive It's a new bug. Restore, then maximise fixes it.
-
@pesala Uh? Is it a bug for all versions? Because as I said in my comment above it worked for me from the beginning. Or may this be related to the fact that I had to maximise the window after I updated it an hour ago and so this maximisation (is this even a word? sry ^^) already counted for the settings bug?

@zaibon 1.14.1030.3 (32 bit) win7 (64bit)
-
@zaibon Even on first starting Vivaldi the space is there when the setting to remove it is enabled. It is a regression, rather than a mere bug. Already mentioned several times in the new Snapshot blog thread, so I am sure the bug has been reported by now.
@wladisha said in Sync is here, help us test it – Vivaldi browser Snapshot 1.14.1030.3:
@wladisha: Let me try to reiterate... I always start Vivaldi maximized. But since the new build the "maximized" Vivaldi is not actually maximized
-
@pesala Ah okay good to know, I just came back a few days ago from a pretty long vacation so I guess I'll have to suck in a ton of info about all the trending bugs and features and how they work. ^^
-
Same issue here, it is indeed a regression that already managed to survive several snapshot versions and is pretty annoying since it not only affects optics but also usability.
-
Still present in the latest snapshot 1.14.1047.3
-
1.14.1064.3 seems to contain a fix for it, but it doesn't appear to be fully fixed for me.
Especially when using Vivaldi via RDP on another machine, the fix only works in like 2 out of 3 Vivaldi app starts.
