Double clicking the tab bar causes both a window maximization/minimization AND a new tab opening
-
Whenever I double click the empty space in the Vivaldi tabs bar – which is a shortcut I regularly use for opening new tabs – I get a new tab opening, but also at the same time, the window maximizes or minimizes, which I don’t want it to do. This happens both with and without Vivaldi appearance option ‘Use Native Window’. Wanted to know if this is a bug or something misconfigured.

@david-cortes There is no option to open a tab on double-click; only close tab on double-click.

Having tried it myself, there seems to be a very very small area around the new tab button where if you double-click it, it both changes the window size and opens a new tab. But I cant reproduce this anywhere else on the tab bar.

@pesala A double click anywhere in that space causes a new tab to open.

@david-cortes This is an old, squashed bug that has risen from the dead to haunt us. It only does it with tabs on top or bottom. With tabs on the side, it only opens a new tab - does not re-size the window. Would you be so kind as to file a bug report?

@ayespy thanks, submited a bug report.
