Regression fixes and translations - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.13.1008.21
-
Thanks Maria. Hopefully a RC!
-
@reddy-shyam: I'll second that!
-
@reddy-shyam: I hope not, there are still a few regressions to fix
-
@cqoicebordel: Any major ones?
-
In snapshot 1.13.1008.21 I've set 90% as default and all NEW pages opened are using 90% zoom so I guess it's fixed now. Already opened tabs at 100% or other zoom ratios need to be closed/reopened for the new default to take effect.
-
Those latest updates at least here, Vivaldi seems faster when you open a new tab.
-
Mouse gesture: "Open in new tab" still not working in web panel.
VB-33535 -
Also very little and primitive bug "Mouse gesture to open link in new tab open it outside of tab stack, even with setting for open them in a stack" https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/163477 also not fixed.
-
There's no need to report bugs as not fixed. Vivaldi developers have a bug-tracker for that purpose, and they announce bug fixes on the blogs. If a bug is said to be fixed on the blog, but is not fixed in some cases, that might be worth pointing out on the blog.
-
Firefox 57 broke almost all extensions. There're no more Vivaldi competitors :).
-
@mtaki14: Yep, at least one : the shortcuts are now captured by the page instead of executing those of Vivaldi (if the website use them). For example, you can't shift+esc on Twitter, nor rmb+scroll on Instagram. It make the browser inconsistent and broken on half the web.

VB-33535That bug is a duplicate because there are other quirks with gestures in the web panels too.. Watch for the main bug VB-8432 to be fixed.

half the webLuckily for me those sites do not even represent 1% of the web

The MacOS bug where restoring a previously closed tab maximizes the window size is back. I think it actually regressed in the previous build to this one.
-
regression fixes.. where holding [mmb] and scrolling doesn't even work at all now
-
@lightsun: Firefox just broke itself.. not just the all the extensions that were worth having but all the work that people did with those extensions like further scripts and themes that used to work with those addons.. and they didn't even think to actually bother building in half the stuff they broke.. so its essentially a shitty bare bones chrome clone now. I'm still using the old FF ESR with 70+ extensions..Vivaldi has an awful lot to do better on, but yeh they have fuck all competitors now I guess.
-
@merryweather: Good to hear.
-
@juniorsilva30: Good to hear. We have more improvements on the way.
-
@lightsun: Good to hear that you like us.
We will continue to evolve Vivaldi, add more features and options, improve speed and do whatever we can to provide you with the best browser for you!

Same here. MMB scrolling is broken again
