Pinned tabs forgotten in new session
-
Has anyone been able to fix this problem? Whenever I pin a tab, close the browser and reopen it, the pinned tab is forgotten.
-
@wilfred1276 Until otherwise informed [IIRC], to not lose your pinned tabs, this setting is mandatory:
This has been a controversial topic for yonks, with many users regarding this as counter-intuitive.
-
@wilfred1276 This is fixed internally, but no clue at the moment if it will make it to the snapshots or stable stream - pending regressions check. We will see.
-
@ayespy What does that mean? Will pinned tabs reopen like in the other browsers, or do we still need to load last session? And the change of this feature months ago, was a regression in itself in my opinion
-
@luetage The fix that was implemented today is for pinned tabs to carry over from one session to the next, irrespective of startup options (last session, home page, start page, specified pages, whatever). ATM, the ONLY way to keep your pinned tabs is to startup "with last session."
-
That sounds like good news, many people will be happy their pet "bug" was fixed. Now let's wait for people complaining the fix will break their workflow because they DON'T want pinned tabs reappear on startup
-
This is the kind of news I like to see. Thanks @Ayespy !
-
@ian-coog I don't see a reason why this couldn't be optional.

This is great to hear!!!! Hopefully the 1.13 (or the next update) will fix this bug
