[Snapshot 1.13.998.3] Size of window after start-up every time
-
First please to forgive my poor English.
My Vivaldi version is the newest Snapshot 1.13.998.3 (x64)
The size of window after start-up every time is not 'full screen', I want it to be 'full screen'.
Every time I start-up Vivaldi is like this:
-
@rtransformation In its current state I believe you can get it to start maximized if you set it to start with last session.
-
I'm so sorry, I don't understand what is your meaning... forgive my poor English...
You mean I should close Vivaldi with maximized window? But I tried, it did't work, when I reopen the Vivaldi, it is still not full screened. -
@rtransformation There is a startup setting in menu/tools/settings of Vivaldi. One of the options is "Startup with Last Session." If you select that option, then every time you shut Vivaldi down, then the next time you start it, the same tabs will be present as when you shut it down. When you are using that Startup option, if Vivaldi is maximized when you close it, it should still be maximized when you open it next time.
-
@ayespy I got it, but that was not what I want.
I want that every time I open Vivaldi, that will be the homepage which I set, in my case it is the start page.
I do not want the tab which I surfed last time will be loaded next time.
In the previous version, it seems that Vivaldi can load with homepage in full screen. -
I reported a bug on this issue some time ago, and reminded them of it when they said they wanted to do a public snapshot. They are working on it.
-
@rtransformation It's a known bug. It will be fixed. In the meantime, I was just relating what I know DOES work at the moment.
-
@ayespy Thank you very much
-
@sgunhouse Also thank you very much for your reply.
-
@rtransformation If you mean you want it maximised, there is a way to fudge that result through windows:
- Close vivaldi
- Press and hold shift, and right-click the vivaldi taskbar icon / whatever shortcut you use to launch it
- Properties, at the bottom
- And change "run normal window" to "run maximised"
- Click the icon to start vivaldi
-
@lonm Yeah, that would be nice.
Thank you very much, I've done it(I'm not pretty sure whether ”I've done it" means "I succeeded, haha). -
@lonm sadly, today I opened Vivaldi, but this method does not work anymore...
