Hi,
I'm continually getting the "Looks like your connection to Vivaldi Forum was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect." message plus the "attempting to reconnect" message on Vivaldi 1.11.917.43 (Stable channel) (32-bit) and also Opera 12:18. It's working fine on Chrome 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit).
I've tried clearing cookies and then restarting Vivaldi, but neither helped.
I'm running Windows 8.1.
Any suggestions as to where I might start looking for the cause?

Can also happen when you simply have a slow connection.

@davidon There's rarely a reason to delete solved threads. Others experiencing the same problem might find it with a search, and then no longer need to post.

It's largely due to NodeBB using websockets for connections. They are prone to be quite flaky, especially on mobile, which is Different. Sometimes it can automatically re-establish it, but not always.

If you mean in an intermittent fade-in-and-fade-out div in the lower-right part of the page, then I’m getting this too, but only at work (where we have a transparent proxy).
