Feature requests for 1.12
-
@rotfl I agree. I'm new to Vivaldi and would like to post a couple of requests, but it is very tedious to scroll through 30+ pages to see if my requests have already been posted. Maybe a knowledge base style database of requests that can be categorized and searched would work better?
-
@criverajc You do not need to scroll through 30 pages. Use the search facility.
@pesala said in Feature requests for 1.12:
To check if a feature request has already been made, use Search in the Black Header. -
@pesala The problem is that, unless i'm mistaken, you can't search by a particular post/thread. (If you know of a way, please tell me!) I search something like this:
Search: 1.12 tabs In: Feature Requests Time: >3 Months
The first result on this doesn't mention the word "tab" at all, the second is not in a dedicated feature request thread, and the third is for an older thread (1.11). The search definitely whittles things down, but it is by no means a concrete way of finding a particular suggestion.

@lonm I agree, search in this forum is almost useless.

vivaldi://chrome/settings
Yes, I am new to Vivaldi and had a hard time finding these settings also. I did create a speed dial for this, along with one for the content settings. Would be great if they could be incorporated into the Vivaldi settings page at some point.

@sdgreene One feature I like about Chrome is the ability to disable JavaScript and enable only for the sites I add to my "approved" list. Same with cookies.
Also, when I access a new site where cookies and JavaScript are disabled, I can easily see that at the right of the address bar (see icons below) and can click to add that site to my "approved" cookies and JavaScript lists.

Hello Vivaldi team!
First of all, THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING BROWSER; I really love it and I appretiate all the changes and effort you are putting into it (including fixing all the bugs I have reported).
I just want to ask you for one more (I hope simple) thing:
Mouse gesture for "Copy Page Address" (it is in right-click menu now) as it was in old Opera (there it was called "Copy Document Address").
I am browsing with hidden address bar for saving space and this function is very important for me.Thank you,
Urza -
Native Tree Tabs. please. Native Tree tabs
-
Pinch gesture to adjust zoom level on linux using touch screen.

@josephj11 hm i need to see because i have a sort of database with long description each in a folder which i use to search for plants for example. every entry of the 'database' has different characteristics to search with.

Mail client and feed reader like old and real Opera.
-
Site preferences like old and real Opera.

I know Vivaldi is a very dynamic browser, updated regularly, but so we can keep up with the new versions, I would request if possible an option to import/export out speed dial
Would be great to have this option in a right click menu like this:
Would be awesome to have it also to import/export bookmarks
-
@internetuser999 Speed Dial is just a bookmarks folder. Import/Export of bookmarks is already present in the "File" menu.
But why one would need to export/import bookmarks in order to update to a new version, is a bit of a mystery to me.

Hi Vivaldi developpers !
I have moved from maxthon to vivaldi and I like the integrated noimage and page actions (bloc contents, grayscale, ...) in the bottom status bar.
But I must repeat these actions every time I reopen a new page.
It would be wonderull if you could add a "memorize setting for site" button and keep noimage, zoom, page actions settings ustomized per site.
Cheers

@josephj11 definitely. Or just have a css that overrides the default one.
-
An option to place some important extensions in the status bar for a 'real-quick-access'.
For example: The 'Google Input Tools' extension. -
Drag and drop page feature in page tiling.
