is it just me, colours in pages are slightly dull after this update?
anyone any ideas how to fix it?
left is vivaldi, right is chrome
edit there is some bug in chrome 61, i had to disable the flag "color correct rendering" in order to get the right colours.

Address bar bug still not fixed https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/157946
-
@someone It is the same here, but Home and End work anyway.
-
Maybe I didn't understand how the windows panel is supposed to word but I expected to see every Vivaldi's windows (and under them their tab related to them) in the panel. For instane, if I open a new window with a few tabs, they don't appears in the panel of the other window. So to me this panel is just a different way to manage tabs in one window, but not all of them at the same time (which it's very practical).

I hope the next update, will be completed the redesign download UI section for Vivaldi. Right now still using the chrome download tab. Still progressing on calendar, good jobs!
-
@someone Nope, for me in this SS as also previously, Home & End still work as expected.
-
A very minor glitch with this SS. After closing, updating, reopening, my 77% UI Zoom & 95% Default Webpage Zoom had both returned to 100%. No drama, given both remained configurable [cf some older SS's in which UI Zoom < 100% broke; happily not this time]. Also found that the update deactivated my Enable Internal PDF Viewer switch in Webpages section [but again, it was easily reactivated].
-
Is this a bug, or me doing something wrong? Occurs this new SS, previous SS too ... maybe also older but i can't recall now. If address bar contains a very long string, & i deliberately choose to select & copy only part of it to clipboard, my careful selection is ignored & the entire string is copied. Tis startling & annoying.

@pesala: Yes, but this is another feature (BTW, of course still unofficial, work in progress). Direct management of tabs from the tab bar should work as good as possible on its own.
So do you mean you have not reported as a bug but posted on the forum? Would you also report to the bug tracker? -
@peter: Windows panel is still a hidden, not officially announced feature, as it is a work in progress. It will show all windows and tabs like you expect, but further development is needed - and it is being worked on.
-
@wojcieche Thanks for the answer ! I had forgotten that it was still a hidden feature as I activated the very first time it appears on the experimental page (like the callendar as well ). The expereimental page is always the first page I visit at a snapshot update .

Is there any practical reason why after every snapshot update we get redirected to the last stable release blog post? Since I'm on the development build it doesn't make much sense to me personally.
I expect it's just part of the standard upgrade process intended for stable users - and they don't want to deactivate for snapshots in case they forget to activate it again on the "real" release...
-
@steffie: Confirmed. But only if you include the first letter of the URL.

@saudiqbal: Not olny this one...

BUG with web panels?
The following web pages do not show their mobile version when they are used as web panels:
Is there a way to force the mobile version in the web panels?

Suggestion: It would be nice to have something like "Open link in new tile..." option in right click menu. If there will be no other tiles it should make new 2-tile view - actual site & new one, or just add new tile to existing ones.
That should be very useful! Currently that's a three-step operation: open link, stack, and tile. Your proposal would make it one operation. I myself sometimes want to view two pages side by side but find this three-step approach cumbersome.
In a similar vein, I'd like an option "Open Link In Stack".
-
@gwen-dragon If you navigate in them with a mobile phone, the layout is different.

Open Link In Stack
That is already available under Settings, Tabs, Open Tabs in Current Stack.

Well that was new...!
I have Vivaldi on a USB key which I run on a work laptop (can't install my own programs on the hard disk). I am able to update the installation while using it at work, and I use batch files to keep a master copy of my data on USB which is written to/from disk when I want to use it.
This morning, for the first time ever, Vivaldi prompted me to update as soon as I started the laptop! This is surprising since I didn't think enough stuff was written to the laptop to do this. Was a registry item pointing to the installer on the USB key or does Vivaldi now leave some installer notifier in the user profile (which was still on the hard disk)? How come it never happened before?
