Сonsumes too much RAM
-
Vivaldi 1.11.917.43 consumes too much RAM. Much more than the previous version.
With three open tabs, consumption reached up to 2.5 Gb -
youtube videos? they are kept in memory until you close the page.
-
@iAN-CooG On the previous version there was no such consumption on the same pages.
-
Could you provide an example as to where this happens? I can't reproduce any such issue myself so far.
-
my 5 cents, I have 64GB ram, I want to use it all for Vivaldi I mean give me the option to let Vivlaid keep many pages in the memory, I don't mind to give Vivaldi lots of room!

@Aronand A computer: Processor - i5-3470, RAM - 8 GB, OS - Windows 7 x64

@Gwen-Dragon The text there says "Browser", which is the main task. This is really uncommon, haven't seen that process going so wild ever...

@Gwen-Dragon said in Сonsumes too much RAM:
Nice picture, but almost useless for helpers. I can not read Russian.
Give us the URL of the page you selected in Vivaldi's taskmanager and we re-check.As you can see in the picture, only one tab is open (URL - https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/20384/sonsumes-too-much-ram).
So that it would be more convenient for you, i translate a little:
-
@aynsel As you can see in my image, it does not consume much here, despite I have a plethora of tabs open. OK, most are hibernated, but this forum thread is open.
This thread even stayed open for about 1h which makes me really wonder what causes that problem on your computer.btw: the green bar in the Windows taskbar tabs looks as if you are downloading stuff atm - maybe that causes it?
-
@Gwen-Dragon I disabled all extensions and rebooted the browser, but nothing has changed.
