Icon with number in parentheses
-
Hi all,
Does anybody know what the number in parentheses next to the Vivaldi icon in Windows Quicklaunch Bar (W7) means? Can't seem to find an answer in the Foprum, sorry.
Thanks,

@preterosso Sounds like you are referring to the "unread indicator"!?
See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/13212/use-unread-indicators-setting-has-broke -
Thanks for the suggestion...but not quite applicable to the issue, see screenshot (Quicklaunch bar of Windows!)

Hard to tell, on osx it shows downloads this way. Could it be the number of existing windows?
-
nope, neither # of downloads nor # of windows
hmmm? -
@preterosso Ah, Ok. If I remember correctly (been a while since Win 7); that indicates that you already had one program called "Vivaldi" installed when you installed another.
Possibly caused by
- an incomplete uninstall
- Having both Standard and Standalone install
- Having both Stable and Snapshot versions of Vivaldi installed (different folders)
etc.

Aha, interesting!
maybe this registry entry?
(could it be because I installed an x86 version in Programsx64, dutifully following the download "recommendation" of Vivaldi?) -
@preterosso In and of itself, that should cause no error.
