Thanks. It might be worth mentioning that animations also apply to APNG
-
Browser seems a bit more responsive and pages seem to be loading a bit faster. Neat!
-
Facebook slow audio on videos now solved.
https://plus.google.com/ now recognizes Vivaldi as valid.
mail.yahoo.com should not complain about Vivaldi as outdated anymore. -
Something new about large Notes file?

Found the real issue about reddit videos: if you use the seek bar, they freeze the browser for several seconds, and occasionally a complete freeze that needs a FC.

- wait until the video loads
- use the seek bar
Edit: this issue doesn't happen on Edge or Fx
-
@ian-coog: Good, thanks for the confirmation!
-
@pdray: Works for me in 1.11.917.35 w10 and w7

works for me, I don't know if it's of any use, but I installed the K-lite codecs pack, whatever it does, you'll have some updated codecs in Windows.
-
Nice one!
-
@nsane: Works fine here as well. But let me get home and I'll test again on my other system that used to have freezing issues on e.g. youtube (still not completely resolved, videos stutter slightly after a while).
-
@pdray: I'd suggest you try with a clean profile, and see if the issue still occurs

I just test this issue and it still exists.
VB-30527
Doing a context menu search of a selected word(s) causes a new tab in other windows plus the current window with the search results. This is a regression from 1.10 stable.

I can confirm here, win7 32bit tho. I have 2 Vivaldi windows, I perform a search with context menu "Search with..." in one window, the new tab is opened in that window only. I tried with both main window and another one opened with Ctrl-N.
BUT with normal "Search for keyword" that uses the default engine, the new tab is opened in both windows! It's not consistent tho, sometime doesn't happen. -
@pdray: After a couple more attempts I did manage to reproduce, seems to happen very rarely tho. Looks like a timing issue to me. We'll investigate
-
@iAN-CooG k, thanks for the info. I don't have any codec packs installed.
-
@pdray: Partially confirmed. Happens to me occasionally - 2 windows, searching in one window opens results in both windows.

It could be a nice side effect of updating the chromium engine, but I'm noticing less mem usage while watching YouTube videos in sequence, normally after watching a couple of videos in a playlist, the memory usage of the YT tab could grow to 800+mb, now after a video ends and the next gets loaded, memory resets to nearly 0 and of course grows while the same video is played, but before this update I had to manually close the tab and reopen it with ctrl-z or the trash icon to ensure mem got reset.
-
@pdray: Happened to me several times too. Haven't tried yet with this latest version x917.35
-
@nsane: Alright. This happens on my other system afterall. Don't even need to use the seekbar. The browser completely locks up and requires a force close as soon as the video start playing. Definitely a major showstopper in my books especially since I suspect this bug is linked to my youtube videos stuttering for 1-2 secs every few minutes.
I really would like to help solve this bug as it seems to come and go in one form or another and doesn't seem like it was ever completely fixed. If any developer could message me I'll try to help debug this issue to the best of my abilities.
