Ability to specify multiple urls for Homepage and Bookmarks.
For example: google.com|forum.vivaldi.net
I use this feature in Firefox to open sites that I check every day, one click and all sites are open.Sorry for my bad English.
-
@longvoid I cannot make sense of this suggestion.

Thanks, but...
Chromium & of course Vivaldi bookmarks already in JSON format isn't it?
Are they? I don't know anything about Chromium -- the reason I use Vivaldi is so I don't have to.
For Windows 7, I just searched the Vivaldi installation folder and user data folder for *.json files. Found plenty of JSON files, didn't find one named bookmarks. So I've already researching the problem. How silly, just provide a user-facing control?
As I said, Vivaldi's bookmarks functionality is clumsy to the point of being almost punitive. Firefox does a much better job of it...

@denek This feature has already been requested :s

I still want the feature to switch between Tab-Groups.
Doubleclick on a Tab-Group opens all tabs of that group and all opened tabs will put in an new Tab-Group. So I can switch between different groups.
-
...and save locked tabs when closing Vivaldi, then open them when Vivaldi is next started.
-
@duarte.framos I do not recommend this. E.g. if I am inside a form and want to open a new tab or open my bookmarks, etc. with a keybinding, why shouldn't I do that?
-
@gaelle split bookmarks panel, please
-
@gaelle ability to open a new window with the page on the current tab, instead of having to copy the current URL, then Ctrl+N and paste.
-
@mbernard Right-click on the tab to move it to a new window.
-
@gaelle I'd like to be able to save bookmarks (with Ctrl D) to a folder of my choice.
-
@Tomis Thanks!

Add a search engine option. When searching without keywords, open that search engine's home page directly.
For example, "g"(google search) -> "www.google.com". -
@cuh7b5 Mainly because it conflicts with many "rich editor" builtin shortcuts. For example at the stack exchange family of sites it prevents you from using formatting shortcuts, like adding Bold or Italics text, or inserting a links, etc.
This is often the case with other forums or formatted text fields, mostly formatting is correctly applied regardless, but the corresponding browser function is also executed in parallel, often opening unintentionally opening a new tab, and losing focus from the field.Can't quite remember how Firefox handles it exactly, but it used to work well there, no conflicts like opening the Bookmark editor while applying Bold. You could unfocus the field to open new tabs first, but that being said, I see it may not please everyone, maybe make it a toggle in the Keyboard Shortcut preferences page?

Photo Resizing when uploading pictures in e-mail - or to whatever you choose
I love Vivaldi, but there is one feature in the Slimjet Browser I would like the Vivaldi team to copy. When uploading pictures as attachments or to put right in the e-mail body, Slimjet will automatically resize the images based on settings you choose in the settings menu.
So, lets say you set the auto resize to 1024 wide, no matter what size over that your pictures are, they all are reduced when uploading to your e-mail to 1024.
It saves me so much time, that I've gone back to using Slimjet for my Gmail for this one feature as with my work I have to send pictures all the time.
Please Vivaldi team - download and install Slimjet and try this feature to see what I mean.
Here is a screenshot of the Photo shrinking settings box from Slimjet's settings:

@Pesala said in Feature requests for 1.11:
vivaldi://chrome/settings/passwords
Good workaround! :). Hopefully they move this in the same place when they have time :).

@duarte.framos I see your point. I believe that Firefox tries to handle this by disabling only those shortcuts which are used by the active form element. In this way the shortcuts of the form and the browser play together nicely. I would prefer a solution like that, but disabling all shortcuts is not a good solution IMO. Or at least it should be optional.
A possible workaround for now: you can assign a shortcut for enabling/disabling Vivaldi's key bindings. When you use a rich text editor, you can easily disable browser bindings, then you can enable them as needed. It works manually though...
Another workaround-ish solution is to reconfigure your key bindings so that you avoid the common shortcuts that a rich text editor use.

Pop out Video
Be able to pop out Video's from video sites (YouTube being the main one).
Have this pop-out screen always be on top and resizeable.
