Should I make a clean install and how? Issues with WebGL, videos, etc...
-
Hi guys, loving Vivaldi overall but I've had issues since I think 1.6 or 1.7, that I thought would disappear with updates, but they ultimately didn't so I have to look for help at some point.
I started to notice it first with a weird issue:
- when I open a link in a new tab using the middle mouse button, when coming from heavy pages (like twitter, facebook, etc..) the tab will open but stay absolutely blank. However, when opening the console, the DOM seems to have loaded as I can browse through it, click links and use the site, but I cannot see anything!
However using "right click -> Open in a new tab", I never have this issue! Or closing and reopening the tab from the history also works... - heavy pages (still) often have display issues: videos in a facebook feed will often malfunction and play blind, will play blind in tweetdeck, etc...
- Recently I wanted to use some sites with WebGL, only to find out it's unavailable in my browser, which is obviously nonsense... never did I try to disable it though...
I tried like two months ago to uninstall Vivaldi and start clean but it didn't solve my issues at all...
What do you guys think about it? Should I try harder wiping my stuff? Is there something conflicting? My stuff:
Vivaldi 1.9.818.50 (Stable channel) (32 bits)
OS Windows 10
Flash None
Command line flags --always-authorize-plugins --disable-translate --enable-blink-features=ResizeObserver --flag-switches-begin --enable-devtools-experiments --enable-es3-apis --javascript-harmony --num-raster-threads=1 --flag-switches-end - when I open a link in a new tab using the middle mouse button, when coming from heavy pages (like twitter, facebook, etc..) the tab will open but stay absolutely blank. However, when opening the console, the DOM seems to have loaded as I can browse through it, click links and use the site, but I cannot see anything!

@uhryks Do you use extensions that block some javascripts?
Did you deleted after uninstall Vivaldi's folder from C:\Users<youruser>\AppData\Local\Vivaldi? (Do a back-up to your bookmarks, etc. prior to delete Vivaldi's folder.). -
I do have uBlock installed, that blocks some Js but not to the point I cannot use correctly loaded websites.
And I don't really see how that could affect things like WebGL disabled (but that may not be linked to the other issues).
I have to take a look at the AppData indeed. -
