I am losing patience

The privacy and site setting options are nothing like opera, no mail client. Instead a lot of useless gobbledegook.
-
@karlmay You cannot lose what you never had.
-
nearly as funny as " fancy graphs of your browsing history"
-
The negative feedback was mine!
Comments of this kind do not help at all!
Instead if you want a browser that suits you fine, help build the browser! Because Vivaldi has an incredible future ... Help reporting bugs and requesting resources ...
Comments like yours will not do anything. -
Ha, I want more of that gooblediguck. I dig it!
-
@luetage what about "vegetarian browsing"

i am with you bro.
No surprise. Your history here on the forum says it all. lol
-
@karlmay Vivaldi is gluten-free. That's enough for me.

@JuniorSilva30 Who needs a history graph. i barely even check history.
The inclusion in the new history does not interfere with anything in browser development, you can use it as any other history ... Ignore the graphic or you can hide it.
I do not understand that kind of complaint ...
Requested resources will arrive in time.
The new story gave an identity to Vivaldi, you can not use it, but there are people who use it.
You can use history as any other history from any other browser. -
@JuniorSilva30 Brave Junior
-
@JuniorSilva30 The only thing it says is that I am annoyed enough to say something
-
@karlmay My comments were with arguments ...
-
@JuniorSilva30 These Argumautes are mostly lost buccaneers
-
'Losing patience' over the nature and introduction pace of a few features/options in a product that costs you absolutely nothing? Wow! Just... wow!
-
@karlmay Negative criticism is wrong. If you want to change something, use constructive criticism (what is bad, which may be better and how to achieve it, what features are missing, how style / direction the browser should take etc.). And just stop using the browser, without unnecessarily causing conflicts with users who are happy with them. And after a while, go back (If you want) when your requirements and suggestions have been implemented.
-
Just to add a slightly different perspective... If we are to help grow Vivaldi's marketshare, we need to pay particular attention to the "this browser is driving me crazy" comments from new users. Many people that have a negative initial experience with a piece of software simply uninstall it, move on, and never come back. Some people share their feedback before moving on. Others stick with it hoping that "obvious" pain points will eventually be addressed, and don't say anything until their frustration boils over.
While the tone of the original post was not ideal, neither are snide/sarcastic responses or drowning the poster in a sea of down-votes. Even if at first glance it appears that the criticisms are baseless or unrealistic, they still merit a more positive response because clearly some key expectations were not met.
Just my thoughts...

@Gwen-Dragon @gaelle I think that we need to add a "Help / Report an Issue" menu item to Vivaldi that directs users to a web page that provides guidance on how to get additional help, submit feedback, suggest new features, or report a bug. This would be especially helpful to new users that have no idea know how "the system" works.
Okay, this is technically a "feature request"... don't flame me... or vote here if you agree.

The developers and other team members work hard and try to make users happy. But they are not super heroes creating a excellent browser over night.

@Gwen-Dragon
Actually I am on the rather old version of Opera - I am not even sure it is available now - newer versions do not have a Mail Client.
Mail Client was listed as a "soon to have" feature when Vivaldi was launched.
I have regularly checked with Vivaldi just to see when I can migrate over.
I share the frustration of karlmay. Mail Clients are useful to many users and Opera's integration with the browser "was" excellent - no other browser has come close - many Opera 12.17 hold outs were hoping that Vivaldi would come to the rescue - as "promised" when launched. -
I was away for a couple of days.
- A critique does not have to be positive it has to be true or at least ring a bell.
- I finally said something not only because a lot of things that defined opera for me and were promised from the beginning are still not there but the language with which another (at least for me) useless feature was announced: " fancy graphs of your browsing history" . To quote Bill Hicks "anybody working in marketing here? Go kill yourself"
