High Disk usage on startup
-
Vivaldi does this on every startup.
After a while it becomes normal though, but still, it's very annoying.
Anyone else having this problem?Harddisk health is fine.
Vivaldi 1.10.834.9 (Official Build) (32-bit)

@badhon_raj Not sure this is a "problem." It's a symptom of the fact that Vivaldi is starting 3 layers as opposed to most browsers' 2 layers, is using web-rendering technology to do so, and is trying to do it without undue delays.
-
@Ayespy problem is, pc becomes very slow for those minutes.
And vivaldi startup time is poor. I've only 3 extensions installed. -
@badhon_raj What's that processor you have there?
-
@Ayespy i5-3470
I don't have any issue with cpu usage though. -
@badhon_raj
When I remember right there was a similar problem - although it was on a linux machine - that was caused by a pretty loaded download history list.
So the question is: Does it get better when you enter the panel ("F4") click on downloads and empty the whole list?
-
@zaibon My download history is long indeed.
Will see if clearing it works.Update: It's Magic.
Now Vivaldi opens super fast even with ~15 open tabs and no weird disk usage. -
@badhon_raj Let us know if it worked - in case somebody else has he same problem too.
-
@zaibon yes, it did.
I edited my previous post. -
@badhon_raj
Glad to hear that this fixed it - and good to know that this seems to work and isn't just a solution for only one pc -
