Export configuration ?
-
Hi,
Is there a solution to export configuration of Vivaldi Broswer. I'am using dev version and i change each time a new version arrive...
Thanks -
To find exactly the same disposition and option when i install a new version of the browser And not only bookmarks...
-
vivaldi already takes care of it, are you uninstalling vivaldi before installing the new version?
-
@iAN-CooG The first time no. Now, yes.
-
I see no reason to uninstall it
-
Ok !
Vivaldi stable create a local browser profile "vivaldi"
Vivaldi dev version create a local browser profile "vivaldi-snapshot"
That's why i lose my config before.
It's more clear. Thanks -
then you are on linux, that doesn't happen on windows.

@eporte I echo what you've already been told. You certainly do not need to uninstall before updating. I also use Linux, & also have Stable & SS installed, & yes they do create separate .config paths as you said [which i love; way more sophisticated than in Windows IMO]. As i'm generally a cautious person, i tend to make a backup copy of my Default directory each time before i let Update Manager do the upgrade, but this is a personal choice & certainly not mandatory. If you wish, you can copy your SS's bookmarks, notes, history, sessions etc to your Stable, or vice versa, simply by copying their respective eponymous files in Default.

@Steffie Yes. Totally agree with you. It's a good thing to have different .config

@Gwen-Dragon I use it like you. Snapshot as default... especially because i can change the default directory for captures !
Really love gesture commands navigation too...
