Yet more mainstream mentions of Our Browser :-)

"Further security improvements have come from “safe browsing” systems, which blacklist websites that host malware. Google Safe Browsing is now part of Chrome, Firefox, Vivaldi and Apple’s Safari,"
"For maximum security, run Google Chrome or a Chromium-based browser such as Vivaldi."
Nice !!

Nice! Especially considering there are many Chromium-based browsers, and they chose to mention one like Vivaldi instead of Opera, or the many other smaller ones.
One thing that makes Vivaldi more secure than other browsers is it gives you a dialogue popup asking you if you want to save, save as, open or cancel your download. This instantly makes it more secure than Chrome, as you could accidentally click on a site and mistakenly download a virus. So having this feature is just common sense and good protection.
And even though I use Windows 10, I don't actually use any AV programs at all. I find they do more harm than good. I turn off as much as possible, even cloud protection, run uBlock Origin and I'm all good. No problems running that way for more than a year, and I don't think anything else is necessary.

I don't run any antivirus either. From my long experience on support forums, many problems are caused by these programs, and even more by registry cleaners.
Windows Defender is enough as long as you don't open spam links, click on ads on websites, or download freeware from dodgy sites. Always download freeware from the program's own website.

@rseiler I still have Defender turned on, but I have the cloud protection turned off. Though with the new Creator's Update, I'm not sure cloud protection is a part of W10 anymore. Either way, I have only the basic Defender protection, with nothing added.
