Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10

One-line UI option
-
@qubit_1 - Option exists. (tabs on bottom)
-
@Ayespy I think they've meant tabs below the navigation/URL bar (+ possibly the bookmarks bar, hence on the "bottom"), but who knows. People make their posts so ambiguous sometimes...
-
Show download speed when downloading.
-
A lot of pages these days seem to detect when their tab isn't in the foreground, and they won't let you browse some other page while waiting for their ad to finish playing, etc. So perhaps there should be an option to make the page think it is in the foreground?
This page says they check the "document.hidden" property: https://superuser.com/questions/492335/how-can-i-make-a-tab-in-firefox-falsely-believe-that-it-still-has-the-focus

@pafflick said in Feature requests for 1.9 / 1.10:
Make the "Close Tab" button always visible (as an option)
On a touch screen, the
:hover
events don't work (for obvious reasons), so closing a tab using an invisible button is quite difficult sometimes...And/or make it always visible for current tab only.

Edit: apologies, did not read OP before posting this and posted more than one request in this reply. I do not seem to have permission to delete my own post, so please delete or ignore this.

in speed dial, have a right-click option to open all in tab stack, and another to open all in tiled tab stack.
-
Option to set default download location to last download location
I.e., after selecting a folder using "Save as…", the next file I choose to download, I could just select "Save" and have it save to that folder automatically, without needing to go through the pop-up menu again.
(If anyone knows of any extensions that do this, please feel free to let me know. :))

Saving selected tabs as session
I would like to be able to select some tabs and save them as a session. Saving all tabs as session is mostly useless for me.

Hello Vivaldi team!
I am really happy for this browser and changes you are still making; thank you for your effort, the result of it is amazing.
I want to ask you for one more (I hope simple) thing:
Mouse gesture for "copy document address" (copy address of actual webpage you are on) as it was in Opera.
I am browsing without address bar for saving space and this function is very crucial for me.Thank you,

@julioc1984
While we wait for this test is implemented: View Image Info (properties) -
@pafflick Maybe they mean IE-like one row top bar (navigation + tabs)
-
Save and Quit warning like on Firefox when close web browser with more than one tab
-
To have an option to move tab to left/right with keyboard shortcut. Typically
ctrl+shift+pgup/pgdown
in Chrome or Firefox.Reordering tabs in some logical order just with keyboard is part of every day work.

Find Next (F3) Should not Open the Find Toolbar
- If the find in page text string is not empty it should just find the next occurrence
- If text is selected it should just find the next occurrence of the selected text (The length of the text string added needs a sensible limit, e.g. 128 characters. Implemented in Snapshot 1.9.804.3).
- If the find in page text string is empty, and no text is selected, only then should the Find toolbar be shown.
Of course, the same would apply to Find Previous (Shift F3).

Related to the post above, when opened though ctrl+f, the text in the search bar should always be highligted.
As it is now, you can search for something, close the search bar, and reopen it only to have to ctrl+a the text again to overwrite it.
If you want to search for the same string again, you can always hit F3, but if you're opening the search bar again it's to search for a different string.
