Issue with scroll bar not working on one tab
-
I find often that I cannot use the middle scroll bar to move the scroll bar up and down a given page. I can use the mouse to select the scroll bar, and move it up and down; also, I think every time I've noticed this, if I switch to another tab, the scroll bar does work---but switching back to that original tab sees the middle scroll wheel lose its functionality. I can click to make sure that the browser knows I am on that one tab, but still I cannot get the scrollbar to go up and down.
Sorry if this sounds strange, never encountered this before. I am updated on 1.8.770.46 (latest snapshot build).

@paulri
Sounds strange indeed.
Can you provide some links to where this has happened?
Or do you remember if those sites had something special like videos or flashgames or other stuff in common? -
The last site was a secure login (a Blackboard page). There were no flash games or videos on the page. I don't recall off the top of my head, what the previous page was, when this started happening.

Have you any extension/script that could mess with scrollbars?
-
The only extensions I have enabled are ABP, Privacy Badger, and Disable HTML5 Autoplay. If this problem continues across a couple of updates, I suppose I can disable one extension at a time and see if that does it.....

Wow. I really would not have thought that something like this would be the case. OK as soon as I see it again, I'll disable that one, and see what happens.
BTW--is there any native tracking protection in Vivaldi? I think there is a tracking protection list for ABP, but I like to try native solutions first.

I could bet it's Privacy Badger.I got same issue when I still testing that extension.
I visit Yandex Disk from one link from this forum. Aside Yandex Disk suddenly just doesn't work, when I'm back to tab where the link resided, I can't scroll.That extension conflict with one of Ads Blocker subscriptions or conflict to Ads Blocker extension entirely.

@dLeon
I went ahead and disabled Privacy Badger, and installed the Easy Privacy list into ABP, found here: https://easylist.to/ This is a list maintained by the Easy List people (the default ABP list). It provides the same protection that Privacy Badget does, unless I'm mistaken about that.Anyways, thanks for the heads up.

Interesting. I disabled Privacy Badger, restarted the browser, and then had the same issue with this one site.
I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't the browser, but just this one site that might make Vivaldi goof up. That's ok, as long as it is limited to one site, this isn't going to be a showstopper.

Found another login site---forumsdotmalwarebytes.com, that is now giving me this behavior. Funny that it is two sites with logins. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not.
(I had to put dot for . in the URL, because the forum software here flagged this post as spam).
