Issues playing media on 1.5.638.3 64-bit Windows build
-
Hi all, I'm trying to figure out if this is a me problem or a Vivaldi problem. Is anyone else who upgraded to the 64-bit Windows build of 1.5.638.3 having issues playing media? The following three examples do not play on Vivaldi, but they work fine on Chrome: http://streamable.com/kecf http://my.mixtape.moe/mvjpmo.mp4 http://soundcloud.com/hippiesabotage/drifter I asked on the blog post and two other users with different versions of the build (32 bit Windows, 64 bit Linux) are not experiencing this issue, so now I'm wondering if it's specific to the 64-bit Windows version, or if it is somehow a problem with my own computer. (Windows 10, 64 bit version)

All 3 work for me, win7 32bit
Make sure flash ppapi is correctly installed -
All three links work for me on Vivaldi 1.5.638.3 64 bit and Windows 10 Pro (64 bit).

They are failing for me also. I have noticed that anything that is MP4 is failing. I had this problem before and it was due to Media Foundation not being installed on my Windows N but this is a normal copy of Windows with Media Player installed.

Win 10 x64 using 64 bit Vivaldi latest snapshot. Flash no longer works although the plugin is installed. Flash does work on 64 bit Google Chrome browser. I can't play flash video on Vivaldi! How can this be fixed?

Same problem here https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser/15794-snapshot-1-5-638-3-disabled-flash-plugin
I had to manually download flash player from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ and now everything works again.

Tried a few more things to find out why MP4 playback isn't working.
Installed 32bit version - Not working
Deleted Appdata Folder - Not working -
Odd you say that. As it made me turn that on and now it works.
Override software rendering list Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android - Set to enabled restored MP4 playback.

This fixed the issue for me. Thank you!
