Remaining on your current tab after you open a new one
-
Hello ! Whenever I read a page with the Vivaldi browser and I use my mouse to highlight a link within that page in order to open a new tab in the same window, Vivaldi jumps automatically to the new tab. I would like to be able to remain on my current tab and go the the new tab only when I want to. I could do that in other browsers but it seems Vivaldi does not offer that option ? Thanks for your help

Vivaldi offers four ways to do this: 1) middle-click 2) ctrl+click 3) Right-click and Select "Open in background tab" from the context menu 4) configure a mouse gesture to "open in background tab" over any link.

In version 1.5.618.8 Middle click and Ctrl+click no longer open tabs in the background as they used to in previous versions. Very annoying.
Correction: It works on some sites, but not all. -
Works in all cases here. What sort of extensions do you use?

Now middle click is working again. Probably my PC being weird.

A budget mouse can have a pretty flaky middle button.
