Linux clipboard bug fixes - Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.5.658.3
-
It is displayed also if you have status bar hidden, but Info overlay turned on instead.
-
It is a known regression.
-
Thanks again for your work.
When invoking search in page the page flickers for an instant, when the search form is first displayed. -
For the past few weeks it happens to me sometimes that scrolling by mouse wheel stops working - whereas scrolling by scrollbar still works. Reloading the page fixes it - I can scroll by wheel again.
Has it happened to anyone? Thanks for help!

Ungroup Tab-stack stopped working.
(VB-23133) Ungroup Tab Stack Fails
1. Stack some tabs
2. Move some tabs within the stack by dragging
3. Right-click and ungroup themNo visible change, except the right-click menu changed.
4. Click the New Tab button a few times
No new tabs appear
5. Right-click the "tab-stack" and regroup them by domain
The new tabs now appear.

Never noticed. Does it also happen in a fresh profile, or any specific webpages? Maybe some extension misbehaving?
-
"Info overlay"? What's that?
-
Just saw someone else complaining of the same thing. Can't remember where. I only see something similar on media-heavy pages. But those are freezing altogether for short periods. Haven't seen that problem in months, and now it's back.
-
It's one of the status bar options in settings. On/Off/Info Overlay
-
I worked on it a lot and finally got it to install..can't find the ghost in my system hope it quits.:?: Sorry to all.

thanks for the update. This snapshot seems to be a bit laggy, slightly slower and uses slightly more resource on my computer and after a while there will be too many Vivaldi processes which consume a lot of resources (especially pagefile) and I have to restart. I think the performance need to be improved more.

- still waiting for context menu for bookmarks in bookmark folder in bookmark bar
- also ability to move bookmarks inside bookmark folders in bookmark bar out

Feature request:
I would like a favorites dropdown-menu like in Safari. I think it is an amazing feature, and makes navigating to your most visited sites blazing fast. When you've tried it, you'll love it. Another great reason for the dropdown menu is that you can drag your most visited sites to your favorites, which in Safari is synced between devices. It's awesome, and the feature would make Vivaldi stand out from Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. Will be fixed as two separate issues. Look for VB-23136 as well - that deals with dragging from the url field.
-
Isn't that effectively speed dial inside the address bar?
-
I was hoping this update would fix the partial URL copy that I reported yesterday via bug report.
When I want to copy only a part of the URL, the whole URL is copied which is annoying. If I select only vivaldi.net in "https://vivaldi.net/en-US", I expect only vivaldi.net or https://vivaldi.net to be copied, but instead it copies all the URL.Thanks for the new update either way! Lovely browser

So it's true but I think it's because of upcoming 1.5 stable release, then it will be about once a week. but it will be difficult to wean away.

It would seem that, because macOS users haven't been getting an update, our Root CAs have not been getting updates either and some sites are erroneously reporting an invalid SSL certificate. Is there any remedy for this other than ensuring in another browser that the CA is up-to-date?
-
Yes! That's what I'm talking about! But that description is so⦠uncommon... Why not "tooltip"?
Anyway, it's really nice to have this feature implemented! Thank you so much, guys! And thanks wojcieche and Ayespy for the tip.

Whatever floats your boat. The same convenience can be obtained with a dropdown icon on the address bar that displays a simple list that doesn't obscure half the page (some people want this and are likely to get it) or, as in my case, a bookmark bar which I don't have to activate.
