Snapshot 1.0.380.2 - Bug fixes and new Settings
-
Features/bugfix:
1- Middle click should open bookmarks bar subfolder items in a new background tab.
2- Web panel fav icon should updated if web site changes that icon (for eg: web.telegram.com does it when new message comes).
3- Should be great an option to make every tab (just the tab!) with the dominant color, no just for active tab, also for background tabs.
4- Option to insert a note in a textbox/textarea like Opera Presto does.
-
at every start, Vivaldi asks me, if it's the standard browser (and yes, Vivaldi is my standard browser). Am I the only one with this error?

Bug with reloading tabs when they are returned-to is fixed.
Close button on tabs doesn't want to disappear.
There is no "confirm exit" on Vivaldi. Consider this a bug. Especially even if confirmed, there needs to be another confirmation for unfinished downloads, as the side panel can be hidden from view.

Wow. This is indeed very useful if you work with multiple Windows. Thank you.

There is a real problem if the menu bar is displayed and takes the theme colour as its background. If the Theme colour is black or another dark colour, the menu bar text is invisible or very hard to read. It needs to adopt a contrasting colour to the theme colour.

just check it in task manager. if it tells you 20% cpu is taken - it will tell you what is taking it

status bar, on the right
-
overlay is for people wanting to see status bar text and not wanting to have status bar enabled. there is no reason to have both of them
-
Thanks for checking. I just get a "Loading…" here in Vivaldi and Opera.
Time for a better computer. -
That's exactly how Vivaldi works for me (and how it did since I can remember)
-
Furthermore i would prefer a search panel with all searches instead of the combo box which never remember the last search url.
Not sure what you mean here, because the search field does both things that you described. Do you by any chance have it disabled under settings?

Hello, Vivaldi team and thank you for your work. It is a great tool and Im looking forward to support your initiative to give creative and compact alternative for browsing.
So, as a user I got these important issues:
1. When I use multiple monitors, in my old browsers I use to drag only a tab from a browser window to one of my monitors. It seems that Vivaldi allows me only to arrange my tabs order, but not to split them into different monitors.
2. When using Ad-block (witch by-the-way, wasn't so easy to install it as an addone to your browser ) it seems that not all pop-up-ads are blocked as they do in "the other" browser.
Without all these small inconveniences, I want to congratulate you for this wonderful piece of web-tech that you made. The gestures and colored tabs, bookmarks tool and all the other settings are more than great! Again, thank you all! -
-
If you right-click on a tab, select "Move to -> New Window" are you able to then drag that window to your other monitor?

Hello, this is my first comment on the blogs of the Vivaldi, I have an active account since last year and use the browser since its first technical previews, and I have been following all the updates and improvements with the browser. The team is to be congratulated, we really have everything to be a large community of users passionate about technology and 2015 up until now, the Vivaldi has much improved in all aspects, is fluid, beautiful, full of fantastic features, some powerful features that are already deployed, and much more. I will dedicate myself more to post new comments as soon as new materials are published, thank you for the space the Vivaldi team.

Oh, I forgot to thank you guys for fixing the videos not playing in Facebook or Twitter.
All seems well now on my Vista 32 machine.

Here at Linux Vivaldi can't import passwords from Chrome, even when you select that option.

Windows 8.1: I keep getting "Vivaldi has crashed" dialog boxes, although Vivaldi doesn't actually crash - it keeps running fine. Maybe one of the plugin containers is crashing? Here's the details:

Vivaldi Close = Computer reboot
It's happened 3 times so far with only this build. The last thing before I go to bed (ie after a hard day's work in Vivaldi <g>) and, prior to putting the computer to sleep, I've closed Vivaldi and… Black screen, BIOS v1.etc etc etc and eventually back into Windows.
In Vivaldi, I have
1 group tab with 2 tabs
1 group tab with 3 tabs
1 tab Twitter
1 group tab with 4 tabsStartup: Last session
Adblock is running,
Tabbar is set Right.
