With the recent update breaking the CSS to move the tab bar below the bookmark bar this has become an even more critical improvement that Vivaldi needs to implement.
On the bright side I see it's been marked with In Progress! Hopefully we see it sooner rather than later, it's absolutely critical for Vivaldi getting a solid userbase of those of us incredibly frustrated by the Chrome-ifying of browsers!
Chrome/Chromium 56.0.2924.76 just got released to the stable channel, complete with 51 security fixes. No wonder they were eager to get this out the door! The 56-beta core browser code was pretty stable so hopefully this will turn out to be a good solid foundation for Vivaldi 1.7.
@lukaszj It's a new unique machine ID, so yes. And the data from the new instance will get added to the server and propagated to other instances. So anything you don't want to be spread to your other instances, delete from the new instance before you sync.
I would love to actually have an integrated RSS reader.
I'm not sure if you're actually using Smart RSS in vivaldi, but I figured out the issue. You have to edit the manifest.json and add extension png here: "19": "images/icon19-arrow-orange" after orange. Somehow it worked without it until this snapshot, but that fixes it.

I just got the latest updates with Norton LiveUpdate, and can confirm at least on my system that it seems to be working again without the workaround 🎉
Okay, I will include "that corporate laptop" in the update round this time...
Oh dear... still didn't work for me
I found that creating a shortcut with Windows 8 compatability option gets it to work, but it shows a thick outline in full-screen (3 or 4 pixels) so I will see if the command-line workaround fixes that.
(Edit: it does)
Another oddity running only this laptop - the icon in the task bar is blank for some reason (since a couple of months ago).
