@axander: Try adding
<body style="background: #000000;">
to resources/vivaldi/components/startpage/startpage.html ; now, everytime I go tu an url from a new tab, the background of "Start page" (displayed just before the page of the url) is now black. Before doing this, it was all white.
Tried to install 32-bit Linux release on my Ubuntu-12 based distro (Precise Puppy) only to find that there's a glibc problem.
It seems Viv 1.9.x requires glibc at 2.19 to run (manifested by it complaining about libstdc++)
Presume this is a Chrome issue rather than Vivaldi?
But very annoying as hardware I'm running on can't really tolerate a later ver of Ubuntu easily.
Do you have any intention of auto-populating the Speed Dial icons from a repository based on a "best match" of the domain, similar to what Safari does for its "Favorites" folder and subfolders? For example:
"apple.*" would match a generic Apple icon for "apple.ca" and "support.apple.com"
"google.*" would provide a generic match to a Google icon whereas "mail.google.*" would provide a more specific match to a Gmail icon
a non-match on "foo[dot]example[dot]com" would provide a generic "E" icon
Hopefully, all of the above can be individually overridden by the user... and also unlike Safari, opt-in with an "Auto-populate Speed Dial icons" option.
Requesting "Configure able Menu like Opera Old ver. <12"?
Already heavily requested.
I think, a lot of features request could be achieve/closed/done if configure able menu finally get in to Vivaldi.
About Scrollbar, I think it suppose to be part of Advance Theme Configuration request. Which also heavily requested.
@lytboris Recently, I began receiving the DNS probe finished bad config error quite frequently. I tried to press in the wires of my router and checked the connections outside as well. turns out, I could have dealt with it easily by flushing the DNS. I don't know my way around Command Prompt, but hopefully i found the solution here .
