Would be useful to build an option to Export and Share the Settings we have enabled.

Would be manually done, so the user could decide whether do it or not.

This would go farther and be an Exporting/Importing file as well for other Profiles.

So this would help V to know what features the users use and to bckp some Setting

Love the flexibility to make Vivaldi work the way we want.
BUT, I have over a dozen profiles, for the most part, I want the same settings in each, and the only way to accomplish this is to tediously compare settings pages side-by-side. A month from now, I may decide I want to change a setting, which if I want to use it globally, I'd have to edit each and every profile.
Perhaps we need a Global-Settings that apply to all profiles until overridden by individual profile preferences.
And/Or, let us export ~/vivaldi/Profile_n/Preferences to a file that is safe to restore to a different profile, giving us ability to create multiple Default-Settings we can apply to new profiles.

All the same, I'd like to be able to double click on the tab to open in a separate window, same monitor before dragging it over to the other monitor. I have been using this method for years using Firefox's tab manager addon. And would like to be able to use the same customization for the Vivaldi web browser.

I’ve used another mod from the Forum to add a Panel that displays a session list from the side panel.

It always makes me glad to see people using a mod to really make the software their own. Every piece of technology should be hackable and extensible like this.

There is a lot going into each Vivaldi update and the Chromium translations is just one part, this post is great on what this part of it takes.

Very nice, it is always a good opportunity to spread Vivaldi in the family, with a clear conscience.
Vivaldi can also be completely 'de-googled' in settings.
If you then do without extensions from the Google Extension Web Store, nothing is sent to Google.
At least that's how I understood it.

@chas4: I just did that. We'll see if there's improvement. I don't complain of Vivaldi's performance on my PC, but I always try to make it as smoother as possible.

I was hoping I could assign a shortcut to Tools > Capture > Page to File, but that doesn't exist in my Vivaldi version in the Settings > Keyboard section, yet. I need to use an older version to be able to open TLS1.1 webpages still.

@Dr-Flay , this was also my idea at the beginning of using a meta-search, for example SearX, but I realized that, although they use engines like Google, Bing, etc., these did not work fully as in the original. Especially when searching for images I constantly had problems.

For this reason, I currently have the most efficient search results using Andisearch as the main engine and different engines, such as Dogpile, Qwant, PaulGo, etc. and specific engines, such as Wolfram Alpha, Wikipedia, site search....., apart from an extension to search for images from the context menu, where I choose Yandex, as it is by far the best and most complete for this purpose.

It is quite comfortable in the search bar to put the concept and carry out the search after changing from one engine to another, or to make queries in the address bar with Andisearch, where I have a direct answer.

@DoctorG is pretty much what IE pre-8 used to do. Btw, poor bsd daemon associated with exploder.

@Jknapp1208 FF won the battle against IE implementing several of its bugs and quirks, is wrong, but other engines have to deal with that, sadly. Most end users only see for the results, not the compliance.(opera presto suffered pioneering standards)

@QuoraHarshEntrepreneur Settings are not likely to match between different browsers. From the File Menu, Import from Applications and Files offers import of Bookmarks, History, Search Engines, and Mail, depending on the application/file.

You mean from the menu? If you use Gnome install MenuLibre app and add to the Command field:

Vivaldi is truly one's own personal browser suite!

I use it for everything -- browsing, mail, RSS newsfeeds, calendar, etc. with mouse gestures, keyboard shortcuts, notes, reading list, timer, and just a few extensions ... Vivaldi has true browsing spirit!
