This weekend I discovered the source for this annoyance and was able to fix it. It turns out that there was a per-site setting for office.com - automatic downloads - which was set to "block" instead of "ask (default)" in my wife's profile (and presumably this is synchronised since we had this on more than one device).

I can only guess that some time in the past an unexpected pop-up appeared which was dismissed with "don't allow" - and that set Vivaldi to permanently block.

In any case this isn't really a bug after all, so I'll send a message to the bug-reporting system...

@levrini: It was an attempt at a flatpak reference since I got some many questions about it later.

P.S. I did also fix an (unlisted here) bug in flatpak packaging. Now screenshots will save to the default location (that failed before).

Hi, VB-100752 was not registered and VB-100759 was marked as duplicate of VB-100760.
Now both are closed as resolved, I make a comment to open one again.

But after removing the shortcut from Vivaldi Settings → Keyboard it does not work in Developer Tools; a bug.

OK, but what's the relevancy, that you can use Edge offline (if so, that's an edge case). That aside, it seems a distinction without a relevant difference. Note that with Office.com you can actually edit, too, which would be a common goal.

@VClassic Its a Vivaldi's internal page which hs such setting; open chrome://settings/cookies to set how cookies are removed.
