I just realized that it was my outbound firewall messing things up. Strange - I did not change any rules when I updated Vivaldi. Maybe it makes some new connections to the Chrome Store?

@mohamadyahia Because chromium sidebar API was implemented on top the vivaldi webpanel API, so yeah is always important that devs report such things. @o2bmm do a report, better if you have something to test as unpacked extension https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/

I am also having this problem, it seems to occur right after Vivaldi finished updating. This is the third time it has happened, so I am hoping to find some help here to identify the issue: The first time it happened to me it was just the BitWarden extension, but today it also broke the DarkReader and SteamDB extensions, so it seems to be a general problem with how the extensions are managed. Current Vivaldi version is 7.5.3735.44 I checked the folder access as mentioned earlier, it seems the access is all correctly configured. Disabling & re-enabling the extension does not resolve the problem, I have to completely remove and re-install the extension to get it to work. But it is annoying to keep having to do that every time they break, since all settings for the extension are then lost (this is the third time this problem occured to me). I re-installed BitWarden since I need that for doing anything, but I left the other 2 extensions untouched, is there something I could try to identify the issue? I would like to help find the root problem so it does not occur again later.

@rejzor, I know, but until now, uBO is still working, without advice in the store that it will be discontinued, like with other extensions Mv2.

@greybeard I wasn't aware the Proton Bridge is a paid feature. Oh well, guess they got to make money in some way ... Just your title for this topic doesn't make much sense, as the extension has no relation to Proton Bridge and it works just fine with Proton Webmail.

I am also surprised. I can't use this panel because I can't delete text that I have entered. So I always click it away when it appears. It could be that it pops up when Vivaldi has been updated. What you think? BTW: I'm on Linux. So it happens on all OS. Instead I have been using DeepL as a web panel for years and am very happy with it.
