@makgiber In the iOS Settings > General > AutoFill and Passwords have you enabled Bitwarden and disabled Vivaldi as the app passwords are autofilled from?

Vivaldi's iOS browser requires a multi-step process to close all open tabs, such as going to tabs > edit > close all tabs. It would be better if this option were more visible and easily accessible, rather than hidden within the edit menu.

@dijondude The iOS version was published later and is still a bit behind the Android version. The Vivaldi team try to get all platforms at the same level but it take time. Keep an eye on the iOS blog, the snapshot builds show what to come in the next version. https://vivaldi.com/blog/ios/

Unfortunately, you cannot disable or remove the tab switcher button (the round box with the number of tabs) in Vivaldi for Android. This button is a core, built-in part of the browser's user interface and is the primary way to access and manage your open tabs. There is no setting in Vivaldi's Settings or in the experimental vivaldi://flags page to hide or disable it. Alternative Customization While you can't remove that specific button, you can change the overall layout of the browser, which might make it less prominent: Open Vivaldi and tap the Vivaldi icon (V) in the bottom-right corner (or top-right, depending on your layout). Select Settings. Go to Appearance. Toggle the Address Bar at Bottom option. This will move the entire address bar, including the tab switcher button, to the bottom of the screen, which you may prefer.

@mib2berlin Alright, I understand. If it becomes a thing in the future or not that is okay. But thanks for the info. Though beware that there is some modern browsers with extension support that is still updating in the play store. Anyways, have a good day!

@far4 I am having the same issue with it hanging too long and I have also turned it off. The ability to change the dwell time or to be able to swipe it away would be great. Only way to clear it without waiting is to minimize the app.

@GroupNebula563 Honestly, not the worst idea. I mean, you do have a valid point. But whether it is a good fit for Vivaldi is a separate question which obviously I can't address.

@yong321 No, it's simpler than that. You can download from Action github two zip archives, each contains an apk. You need to register on github to download. [image: 1744873973538-img_20250417_101229.jpg] [image: 1744873973678-img_20250417_101053.jpg] Next, all you need is a smartphone. No need for a computer at all. And you don't need root on your smartphone. Install these two programs and patch the browser with lspatch. If you already have the Vivaldi release installed - then you can experiment with Snap for a trial. By default, the result of the patch is signed with a test key. If you patch constantly, it is better to create your own key for signing. The lspatch interface is very simple, easy to understand even if you have no experience. Important: you should always enable the “Inject loader dex” checkbox before running the patch. There are two modes for patching - I like the local mode better, on my smartphone the browser works more stable with it. If you choose the local mode, after installing the browser mod you need to enable the ChromeXt module manually - from lspatch. Yeah, I'm not a developer either. Try to treat it as a free experiment. By the way, here's a video of the ChromeXt developer himself talking about his program. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qm4dU-XnJM

We've confirmed and fixed the bug. After the fix has been tested internally, it'll be released in the Snapshot and then the Stable version of Vivaldi. Thank you for your patience!

@far4 My most used menu item is hidden at the bottom "Exit". You ALWAYS have to scroll to it I don't use any other menu item, they're all redundant and actuated by another means...

@disu1950 Well, I would have thought so as well however Chrome does not struggle, I have 150+ open grouped tabs and of course they don't stay in the memory but their thumbnails stay and the position stays and it doesn't over use RAM at all. It has been like this for a while. Which means Vivaldi lacks automatic tab hibernation or needs a setting to be implemented for this. Because somehow Chrome is more efficient. I would love to only use Vivaldi, but it needs better memory management.

The problem disappeared on its own. Today Vivaldi works normal. So I close his item and, when it happens again, I'll be back. Thanks all for your input
