I did not use it for translation on any of those pages. It was just installed and the only plugin I have. so I deactivated it from the extensions page and reloaded page. Loaded perfect.

I really haven't used it at all frankly. I installed because it was what the next Vivaldi will implement for inline translations like chrome. As an expat that is one feature keeping in the Chrome sphere and when the next release is out, I should see much less use of Chrome.

I've tried the preview and find it works well. I haven't went broadly across my devices yet with it. Just know it is on the way is causing me to spend more time really giving Vivaldi use as a daily driver of mine.

@zhangdl Possibly. But you are on Deepin based on Debian Stable, how often does one do that? Some distros have it easier (via a GUI/button), some not, check your distro's manual/wiki about that, this is also why I prefer Arch's KISS (keep it simple, stupid) & rolling approach over anything else.

Cant remember but test it again and I am a bit confused.
I first disabled the blocklist and rasterization flags and got lower CPU usage. Then I disabled accelerated-video-decode and got less. party

I test on Youtube and one other video page, whose name I don't want to mention here, and I am perplexed.
I am sure it was exactly the opposite as I tested it a few month ago.
May it help with lower CPU´s, my i7 is relative powerful.
I leave all disabled for now.

Hi, this is a bug and it is known.
I hope for a fix in one of the next updates, we get reports more often.
You can login with a wrong user name but sync does not work correctly, annoying.

These acceleration mode are for video encoding and should not influence the start performance.
I use HD 4000 on my laptop and I can see a difference at launch time Chrome/Vivaldi but it is really not that much.
I have these Flags enabled for better video performance, you can try if it change your launch performance. Maybe it work.

@npro Thank you for this. I had changed the Sound permission from "Auto (default)" to "Allow" and it solved my issue.

@larsaamodt Auto-expanding of folders is not supported in the Bookmarks Bar yet. You can do this in the Bookmarks Panel.

@andrewliberman just try to use Super key on your keyboard as a simple workaround.

UPD: Recently used Discord (web version) and full screen mode turned on automatically once I started watching stream. After that I was not able to turn off fs mode until I closed Vivaldi window.

Unfortunately this is an upstream (Chromium) bug -it probably tries to paste the whole .(m)html page so it takes that long, perceived as "hang"- and since no one there is interested in making mhtml-save work natively in KDE for years, I don't see any real benefit of reporting it to Vivaldi.

May you have problems with high CPU usage now while watching videos, depends on you hardware.
There are some Flags you can try.

Thank you @cyxovi and @Gwen-Dragon . That works here.

Opening in the Kate editor a page saved through the KDE dialog and then through whatever is now taking its place, only the KDE version throws a line-length flag. A quick visual check didn't show any obvious differences, FWIW.
