Vivaldi password sync / save problem.
A better solution than to delete the whole profile:
In ~/.config/vivaldi/Default
Delete or move the files 'Login Data' and 'Login Data-journal'
Now you can log in and sync your Passwords again..

@ferryman Sorry, I have incorrectly described the problem. It is about the position of the horizontal menu bar not the windows control. It used to respect the OS choice for right or left. (Being left-handed I like it in the left.) What I discovered was that a solution was to change the apparently unrelated Windows Control Position from left , as it was
previously, to right. The title of this thread should be Positioning Horizontal Menu Bar on Left.
@hatenewopera Please would you edit your post & encase the terminal output in a codebox, for better readability?
If you suspect you have an incompatible extension, or indeed any other problem, Step One is to verify that a clean virgin profile does in fact work correctly in your system.

If your clean profile works, then install ONE of your extensions in it & retest. If ok, install ONE MORE extension, etc, until you find the culprit. If you end up with all your extensions installed in the clean profile & it remains ok, then your original problem has a different root cause than what you had supposed.
Another thing that has shown up in 5.2.2623 in regards to the address bar:
The "arrow down" key no longer works to switch from the text input to the drop down list that pops up, the arrow up /arrow down keys now position the cursor at the beginning / end of the address input field.
I hope that change was not intended?

I tested, but this isn't a problem, really there's nothing going wrong. At least this is my bet. It's all working as intendend, it's just that some parts of Vivaldi don't consider the accent color so it doesn't not apply to those parts.
The solution would be to make these parts of Vivaldi aware of the accent and the colors you choose in the personalization.
I have the exact same issue.
Kubuntu 21.10, Kernel 5.13.0-generic
Vivaldi 5.2.2623.39 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)
It does seem to have something to do with video or other active content. It virtually never happens when nothing is playing, though it is very random - I can go for like two weeks without seeing it, then suddenly it happens 3 times in 2 hours.

I have the same issue. For me, it seems like I can pick an image and it works at first, but as soon as I close and reopen the browser it stops working, and I can never select that same image again until I pick something else, restart the browser, and then go back to the first image. Feels like a caching issue or something to me.
I've looked into the problem again. I wanted to solve the problem without disabling all GPU features.
I checked the "Graphics Feature Status" with vivaldi://gpu and tried something with the flags.
Only using --disable-gpu-rasterization (or vivaldi://flags/#enable-gpu-rasterization set to disable) fixes my problem. So I can at least use the hardware acceleration for some other features.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any tickets for this problem quickly. Strange, I'm not the only Linux user with an Intel 8th Gen computer. I still can't tell if this is a chromium problem, or something kernel or archlinux related. If anyone knows anything please let me know.
Thanks π

Then you probably had a really old version or were already using a mod
Nope! I nearly always had the latest stable. Although there was this one time, months, or years ago when I saw the titles aligned the left, but then I did something (I can't remember what but it definitely was not modding because I would have remembered it) and they recentered.
Anyway, it's all good now! : )
