I retested the cpu load with snapshot 4.2.2406.23-1:
Situation seems mostly unchanged. Only thing to note is, that after closing the last window of Vivaldi, all processes of Vivaldi are terminating after a while (in earlier days I had to manually terminate the processes as their shutdown lasted too long).
=> I can use the Calendar function for my own calendar in Google Workspace but not together with those of my co-workers - as in this case Vivaldi becomes too sluggish/unresponsive.
During my first sync of theses additional calendars my cpu load looks like this:
With the last two Snapshots, multiple times my Panel Bar has vanished, therefore needing me to click the little icon to make it reappear. I can't find a pattern; it sometimes has vanished when i relaunch V, but other times it's still there fine. During individual V sessions, it can suddenly spontaneously disappear. It's quite strange & unpredictable.

Guess I just live on my gentoo castle on the mountain and never get out, like the greybeards or something.
😂 ... that's not bad at all, on the contrary Gentoo is very kool !
Arch! Gentoo's fraternal twin.
yeah not that close but they share a lot commons -> Arch compared to Gentoo/Funtoo
I have physically separate screens
Those setups are perfect for Tiling Window Managers , how so you aren't yet on one of those? 🙂
P.S Alternatively, dynamic tiling with Kwin script likekrohnkite and similar! Forgot to mention that.
Native Window continues to work just fine in KDE Plasma [i don't recall it otherwise]. Once it's active [yes, V relaunch needed], simply rightclick the titlebar, then:
Ofc in Plasma, that's merely one of the various moving options. Users can easily do it graphically via D&D in Desktop Grid, & Present Windows.
So much choice, so much Nixie+DE goodness...
Alternatively in Cinnamon DE, via hotcorners there's a direct equivalent of Desktop Grid. It also has the similar titlebar rightclick options, specifically including "Always on visible workspace"... & this works very well.
In MATE au natural, i can't remember, but in MATE + Compiz once again all this works fine.
I can't remember for Xfce; tis too long since i last used that DE.
In GNOME, again it's been a while but iirc there's negligible titlebar context menu options [given GNOME Devs are allergic to user functionality 😉 ] however via the Activity overview one can easily D&D windows between the various workspaces.

Oh, sorry, i overlooked the patriarchy. Don't mind me, i'll just get back to the cooking & ironing.
Hi, I use it all day with Yahoo, Gmail and Freenet without problems.
Iirc it does not work to send mails to yourself with M3 but work to all other recipients.
May your mail database is broken, if you use IMAP all mails are save on the mail server but I am not sure about POP3 accounts.
The database is stored in your profile > Default\Storage\ext\mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli
Move it to a save place and after starting Vivaldi and set up your mail account it is rebuild. It take some time to refetch the mails, for me with a few hundreds mails it need 2 minutes or so.
Good luck if you still feel like doing it.
Fwiw, i stopped using a swap partition years ago. Instead i briefly used zswap in my oS TW, but now in Arch i use systemd-swap. Tis good.

@serjflint Too bad. Not all extensions work in Vivaldi, but we can't really expect the V team to spend time troubleshooting hundreds of different badly coded untested extensions, especially when the extension developer seems completely focused on Chrome and nothing else. Too bad, just the way it is...

@pekli I do not know where and how you pay.
VPN/Proxy/TOR or something else can block.
Not sure. I'm not horribly worried about it, so far. Next time I have the need, I'll try it again.
Thanks for the replies.
@eggcorn I've modified my post so it's even less malicious than the official discord domain.
(if it were something that wasn't so commonly shared about, I would've done that from the start for your very reasoning) 😉
But to avoid yourself sounding hypocritical, vivaldi.com also has malicious links to Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
Those links are just as malicious as the official root domain I posted, so careful when tooting your own horn. 😉
(not sure how malicious Telegram is, even though servers have fake (hacker/government-owned) master-key encryption, everything else seems legit)
