It's a bug. It's been mentioned so often so many places since this build was released, the devs have to be aware of it by now. I'm sure they'll address it.
We are fully aware of it!
I just installed latest .deb package of vivaldi on my lubuntu 14.10 amd64 and i have two vivaldi browser in system: previous, technical preview build and current one, labeled as "unstable".
Unlike other browsers i have installed on my OS, vivaldi can't detect mouse 4th and 5th key which i'm using to go to previous/next page, browser doesn't react to these keys and is not switching pages.
Look -carefully- at the result.
Your local IP addresses:
Your public IP addresses:
When did you decide to make 1) public?
What exactly is your security concern here?
You might ask someone with technical knowledge
to explain the significance of 1).
My concern is, of course, mine and
firefox has solved it in a few key strokes.
Chrome and others require additional tools.
Vivaldi (not surprisingly) is currently
broken in this regard.
Any site you connect will read your IP address
and it will be recorded in the server logs
regardless of the software you use.
This is how the internet works!
Feeling is not thinking.
You are correct, of course.
That is how the internet seems to work
Those who don't control (aka program) their tools
are programmed by their tools.
I assure you that while we are using
the same internet our results are very different.
Thanks to firefox I solved my concern some time ago.
If you see no problem with " … how the internet works!"
all is peace and light with our world.
Nothing to be done,
nothing to see here
we're free to move on
