I agree, but I'm sure this will be issues addressed in future releases because tabbed browsing and multiple tabs open at the same time is so widely used these days. You do know there are currently some options available, if you right click on any tab (preferably the one you're currently showing or one you want to keep) there are options to close all tabs which does exactly that, close tab which closes that current tab or another option called close other tabs which closes all tabs but that one/the one you're currently viewing. May help a little in closing some of those tabs.
Just noticed I typed those options out of order compared to how they appear in the tab menu, however you should get the gist.

Following the recent cascade of bugs in Flash is it possible:
1. Run all Flash as another user - not login?
2. Compile "Gnash" from Linux, and use this?
The (1) is an Android kind of solution, where you make one group "Internet Tools" and "Java" and "Flash" as users.
Then start Java and Flash as their user, and this provides a tool to manage security outside the browser. I know this can result in e.g. not enabling upload of files, but it also stop prying into files. "Internet" can "own" the browser cache and all browser files.
Most computers now have two modes: User and "Administrator" - being local or remote. So, lets reinvent the concept of users.
i had that problem sometimes, mainly when you crash (with a youtube tab) and it restore playing the tab, but even u closing it, it keeps playing, then u have to close the browser again

Please don't. The reason Opera added that feature is because they are a marketing company now, not a software company. They want to send traffic to specific sites and even profit from that.
I find Discovery completely not required for daily browsing functions, and it makes people waste tons of time in useless reading, because its there, you will click it and before you know it you are 1 hours without doing anything. It does not make a browser better and it has nothing to do with a browser but more to a service delivering content. A browser should not deliver content from third parties unless you choose so or want so. It's a browser !!! Not a reading application.
Just think about it. If you want to read things, you can add new sites and blogs to a speedial and there you have it. I don't want content pulled into my browser. It feesl unnatural, just like I never liked those browser that had Facebook and other social things build in. If you start adding this things, then you will start to add more and more remote things…
I can agree that Discovery is useful for some people, even I use it, but that would be a perfect candidate for a plugin or addon. If you like that kind of stuff there are reading apps which do exactly that and even better and they are optional.
There are so many reading apps and RSS readers that do similar things. Rather than adding something fixed like that which I cannot change I would prefer if they add an RSS reader, then you can create your own Discovery news section if you want.
Works the same way for me on linux. Quite inconvenient, in my opinion.
By the way, would be nice to have option to pre-set zoom for all pages in the settings: I always zoom every single page anyway.
I have actually had pretty consistent fast start up times when launching Vivaldi. Really no different then Chrome or Firefox and perhaps even a little fast then the before mentioned. IE is not generally praised for much by many but is for its start up speed. Some factors to take into consideration is what homepage you have set as the default if you are questioning full start up times also and although there is not a lot of support yet for extensions, but what one's you may have installed. Have you watched your task manager and system resources tab when launching and running Vivaldi? I too will say Vivaldi is currently a tech preview, maybe not even an alpha, so a lot of tine tuning and system resource management stuff should be coming in the next releases along with improved and added functionality.
