I created a new partition on Windows 11, install in 😨 \ and leave the checkbox unchecked to disable auto update.
At first start I disable auto update and it stays disabled after restart Vivaldi, after reinstall Vivaldi, reboot and whatever.
I am sorry, I cant reproduce it.
If Vivaldi keep crashing after an autoupdate, then you can try disabled autoupdate & then uninstall Vivaldi (keep your profile data untouched), reboot PC & reinstall Vivaldi with an official installer download from https://vivaldi.com. Sometimes botched autoupdate will cause all sort of problems inside the installation folder, & if you are lucky you might be able to fix it with a manual installation.
Else, the problem will lie in the corrupted files inside the Profile folder from a botched autoupdate in the past. If that's the case, your best bet will be restart with a new profile & then use the sync function to restore as much data back as possible, & then migrate some missing but important files from the old profile folder manually.
Long story short, cut your loses & stay the hell away from the damned autoupdate. LOL
To stay safe i use KeePass2 to store locally and portable the most important logins/passwords.
Free programs Keepass2 or KeepassXC use a extra password to encrypt its database independent from Windows encryption keys.
I have been having this issue for a while and just assumed it would be fixed quickly. Today I decided to see if anyone had reported it here and found this thread. Only 2 people having experienced it was surprising.
This same issue existed previously, but I can't say when. Feels like a year to 2 ago, maybe more....
Anyway, yeah it seems to be random on how many windows actually get tiled each time.
A secondary issue is that previously when you closed a tab, all the remaining tabs would resize automatically to take up that now vacant space. They would all remain proportional to each other. Now only one tab increases it's size to take up the space of the closed tab.
Vivaldi 5.5.2805.44 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
OS Windows 11 Version 22H2 (Build 22621.819)
@dmkroslindale I don't use zoom often so I really can't check but you could try:
to enable this setting
follow the steps here, especially extensions, cookies and adblocking
but feel free to report a bug, testers may have the correct setup for troubleshooting this

I can't have also a shortcut on my 'desktop'.
If you have already added a app, you can create additional shortcuts it by opening vivaldi://apps , hovering on the desired app icon in apps page and use context menu "Create shortcuts…"
Awesome Doc!! Thanks for that tip.
I've just bookmarked that Apps page so I won't lose it!!
Cheers mate!! 😃

I'm having a somewhat similar issue, I think.
Sometimes websites from certain domains get rendered like on OP's pictures, and moving the mouse on the page and hovering over stuff make them flicker like "whiteness -> actual content for a split second -> whiteness".
Also, this issue only seems to "target" a specific domain, sometimes "myanimelist.net" gets broken, sometimes "facebook.com", but only one of them at any given time.
Restaring Vivaldi resolves the issue instantly.
Things I've tried:
Reloading the tab [ does not work ]
Opening the same URL in a diferrent tab [ does not work ]
Opening the same URL in a different window [ does not work ]
Opening any URL from the same domain in either a different tab, window, or a private window. [ does not work ]
Closing and restarting Vivaldi [the only thing that works]
One thing to note is that I use a multiple Vivaldi windows, housing a crapton of tabs, so maybe Vivaldi's having a stroke due to being abused by me, idk.
Specs that might be relevant:
2 displays (one 144hz and one 60hz)
GPU: GTX 1080Ti
OS: Windows 10 with the latest updates
Also note that the system may very well be under memory pressure when this happens, as I'm a dev and have a bunch of stuff open almost always, plus the huge amount of tabs in Vivaldi.

Some UI-hint (like a frame of the post, or coloring of the post) may help a lot.
The post number is shown in the URL in the status bar when you hover the three dot vertical icon.
Hi, I cant say much about the Vivaldi translator, other translators are further developed but they cost money like Deepl, Bing or Google translate.
Themes and web panels are not synchronized, this is not implemented at moment but they are working on it.
Hi, if you meant the spped dial icons:
There are several ways to delete them, they are simply bookmarks.
If you hover an icon a - appears, click on it remove it.
It is better to use the bookmark panel to organize bookmarks.
Some user report they have problems to delete bookmarks, this is caused mostly by extensions, you have to change the folder to make the delete appear.
