@vivaldiuser835 If there is an internal fix, it will almost always make it to stable within six weeks.
If the fix has already been published in a Snapshot, then the delay will usually be between one day and five weeks.
Understand, fixes are not backported to stable as a rule unless they are showstoppers, security issues or web compatibility issues. Rather, fixes are incorporated into each NEW version as it comes out. New versions of Snapshot come out roughly every week, and new versions of Stable come out each six to eight weeks or so.
@DoctorG said in Randomly white squares and rectangles on every Site:
Open in Vivaldi chrome://flags/#ignore-gpu-blocklist
Setting this flag to Enable got rid of my squares and rectangles in both Vivaldi.5.2.2623.46.x64 and Vivaldi.5.1.2567.73.x64.
Thanks.
@Pathduck Yeah I've been observing the same since upgrade to Vivaldi ver. 5.2.2623.46 (Stable channel) (64-bit). On some feature-rich websites like www.imdb.com the rendering hiccups back and forth for a good 10-15 seconds or so because CPU is stressed to over 110% while loading. This in Windows 10 Ver. 21H2 (Build19044, 1706) on my little HP Streamer 11y and an Intel Celeron chip. Not everybody has the latest and greatest with a gazillion cores. >|<
@danfiscus
Hi, the forum as first step is good, often it is an extension or setting make problems not a bug.
This help the small developer team to not flood the bug tracker with false bug reports.

@bariton I left the computer for a few hours and when I came back the Panel was there like it normally is. Don't know what is going on but it seems to be working correctly now. Thank you both for your help.

For information on how to report a bug, see this URL: https://vvld.in/how-to-report-bugs
Once that is done, please share the bug number (beginning with VB-). Thanks.
On the form, you can add your email address. Once submitted, you'll get a confirmation. You can reply to this with any logs or further info.

@mib2berlin Thank you for your time. The standalone install route got me home. I prefer that route anyway. I didn't realize that was an option. I prefer that route anyway.
@Pesala said in Can't change icon for Speed Dial Folder with nested speed dial item:
@janrif Right-click to select a custom thumbnail for Start Page folders.
Yes, that works but the +/- changed (no +). I should have included the workaround in my post. 😜
@avicci
Hi, I cant reproduce this with 5.2.2623.46 on Windows 11 watching a Youtube 720p video.
Edge use 600 MB and Vivaldi 640, after stop Vivaldi the RAM usage goes down, after closing the tab even more.
This is in a clean profile without extensions.
Check the internal task manager of Vivaldi with Shift+Esc wich process takes the memory.
May you can check with a guest profile, it exclude all settings and extensions.
