@RobVdvvr
No, you can install Vivaldi a second time as standalone install, this is independent from your existing install.
You can use this for testing, use sync or setup Vivaldi from scratch.
If all is working in the new install you can use this or copy your profile data over to your first install.

@DoctorG only now and again at first it was the ad blocker extension that was crashing it and its self so removed it re-started reinstalled adblocker worked fine then the adblocker was not crashing but yea the browser its self now and again freezes then just forced shut and no bird just force shut pops up after the browser shuts but no data loss thank you for your help
Wow, so I dragged a bookmark from one folder to another to move it, and the bookmark moved but an unrelated subfolder was duplicated within itself! This is all over the place.
I’ll try this on my home installation later and see if I can record a video, but right now it’s really not working at all.
@jaunny It works as expected. Increasing the length of the search field reduce the width of the flexible spaces on either side of the URL and Search fields (which remain centred).
If you want to reduce the space on the left, remove the flexible space, or replace it with a fixed width space.
@sonate
"Best result" is the result found by the autocomplete so you already can disable it by disabling the autocomplete.
However, the issue you are talking about is related to the domain autocomplete which we are adding a setting for, so your problem should fix soon.
I can confirm, that bug (multiple windows) is fixed for Manjaro.
Vivaldi version: 6.0.2979.22
But another bug isn't fixed yet - closing vivaldi tab with activated Dev tools didn't close this one.
@alan8it

@Pathduck Agree w/@EaZy5D! I inadvertently hit the minus in the upper right corner of a Vivaldi Speed Dial folder & it disappeared w/o any offered confirmation that this was intentional. Your directions made it a cinch to locate it! Thank you so very much!!👍
@DoctorG said in Do you use notes manager? For me it's unusable:
@Firlej I agree, the Notes manager with its more or less working Markdown formatting is not really usable to create more complex notes. I dislike it.
Finally someone with some sanity.
It's very rare, when someone says something like that, instead of "if you do not like some Vivaldi features, you are weird, I can't understand what your problem is" or "If you suggest, that Vivaldi designers could make even a small fault, you are a blasphemer!".
And yes, it is not a complex editor, nor a simple one. It is made in the way, that it looks like a complex editor, but is not customizable at all. And it has all flaws of a complex app for notes.
But you can't even use it as quick tool for notes, because in the side bar you can only write one or two sentences.
@bogast I can confirm this.
Please report issue to Vivaldi bug tracker. Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-) you got by bug report mail. Thanks for helping us making Vivaldi better.
