Edit:
Seems like VB-103506 was indeed fixed. I did not notice because of the annoyance I had yesterday when I made this post.
It is now the left click behavior that is bugged instead, as far as I can tell. As for the Japanese keyboard issue, I have made a bug report. It's not exclusive to the address bar either, but rather any text form.

I want to add that as of 6.7.3329.9, VB-103506 is still not fixed.
To make it even worse, version 3329.7 made this change
[Address bar] Autocomplete resets when left clicking the proposed text (VB-105465)
This change (I believe) made it to where left-clicking the address bar does not clear the selected item under certain circumstances (likely related to VB-103506). Instead of now initiating a search, it goes to that item. In regards to the steps I explained for reproducing VB-103506, it goes to the youtube video instead of searching. Video example

I just had the most annoying experience imaginable from a combination of issues. I was trying to search something on the address bar using a mix of English and Japanese characters. After I typed the English text and switched the windows keyboard to Japanese, the moment I began writing the browser would crash. So I tried typing the Japanese first, then the English at the front. I typed enter and because of VB-103506 I went to a reddit post instead of google. I tried again but typed the wrong way again causing the browser to crash. I reopen, do the same address bar magic to prevent a crash, press left mouse on the address bar to clear the selection, only to end up on the reddit post once again since now left clicking to clear the selection is bugged. Did another attempt before I realized the new issue.
I'll make a bug report over the Japanese keyboard crash when I can. But man the address bar issues is making me want to switch browsers lol
