Not being able to view the Forum in landscape mode seems to be either intentional or just not implemented yet.
I tested the forum and another website both in Vivaldi and Chrome and neither could be rotated in either of the browsers.

Could be you have a more powerful CPU than I do here and that's a very CPU-intensive task, or perhaps some extension I have is interfering but I can say the usual place I'd look (NoScript and uBlock Origin) are not blocking anything on that page.

My general impression of that fora platform is that it's on the sluggish side, at least on this 2012 i7 4-core Mac Mini Server with 16GB RAM. (With only 3 things running: Vivaldi with 2 tabs open in a single window, a terminal window doing nothing, and Activity Monitor)

Yes, but as a forum mod, your use-case is quite a bit different than the average user.

If I were a mod here I'd want to read all the new stuff too, on any forum subsection, because that would be my role here.

But as a user, my interests are pretty narrow.

Primarily to see the things that people have added to a discussion I'm already either participating in or is so interesting I want to follow it.

The "random browsing" thing is far, far more rare for me, and I'd suspect for most people here. I participate in bazillions of forums, this is just one of many.

And to tell you the truth, I wouldn't even have to do that so much, if the notifications here worked the way I wanted. 😏

@Pesala Forum and Home show the same page, so that would be the duplicate. Although that’s not really an issue.

This issue has been fixed by @isak recently (along with a couple of others). If you notice something else missing/misplaced (or otherwise broken), please, let us know. 😅

In contrast to the above, thanks to @luetage, @sjudenim + community one can still enjoy sanity.

There was an update to the Forum last week and today we updated the menus on Vivaldi.com, Vivaldi.net and the Forum. Themes will get the same menu soon. Especially in the mobile view the menus on the Forum have changed.
We split the menu into two. If you tap the three lines next to the Vivaldi logo, you'll see the main menu and the forum menu. When you tap on your avatar in the top right corner, you'll see notification, chats and account related options.
So, the issue with missing notifications and the logout button have now been fixed.
But the search button still seems to be missing. I'll check with the devs about that.
@WildEnte, I haven't noticed the issue myself. When you find reproducible steps for the 3rd issue, please report it on https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/.

That's good Catweazle, I wish it was my experience too!
I wasted a lot of time with it. I am not sure what I will try now, maybe just wait a while - problems might be sorted.
