@saturnus Agreed, the forum really needs a dark theme, and without users having to install special JS/CSS mods.
They use NodeBB which supports theming so it should be a relatively simple job of installing a theme and letting users choose.
Here's a nice one: https://github.com/youhosi/nodebb-theme-oxide
Thanks @Pesala I fixed the problem manually already by adjusting the search pattern in the settings to https://forum.vivaldi.net/search?term=%s. I was trying to make the point that it's a bit curious that Vivaldi's feature to add a search engine fails on Vivaldi's own forum search.
@luetage said in Forum language filter no longer works:
edit: lol, there’s a user named username, just input your own name ^^
Use /me/ (just /me w/o the slash doesn't work) instead of those edit-it-for-yourself links 😉
/me/categories gives everyone the right page.
@nomadic - thanks - my skin/theme is heavily modified with css and js mods so guess i need to try without them - that was my next step
i dont see the icon on the address bar
am loading it as i do all other js mods call it from browser.html
@roybrishav Welcome to the Vivaldi Community 🙂 👍
I know very little about this Cold Turkey program, but if it blocks on the OS level or uses the hosts file, it should also block whatever is loaded in the panel.
The only thing different from a regular tab is that a panel will try to request the mobile version of the web site, and if your software can't handle that then that's a major fault of a blocker.
Are you running some kind of VPN/Proxy in addition?
One thing you could try is to open the panel, right-click the title header and choose "Show desktop version".
Also make sure to run through the troubleshooting guide:
That's all I can think of. Maybe someone else who uses the software will be a better help.
@Gwen-Dragon Oh yeah, that makes sense... I guess it just doesn't make sense from the spammer's perspective to create spam links on pages that are not indexed. Then again, can't expect spambots to make sense 😂
Carry on 🙂
